MISSING: THE LAST FOSTER

Chapter 11

News are still spreading faster, social media is still working for people, rumours are still on and people still can't live their life without meddling other people's life.

"Are you ready, babe?" Shekinah asked Raixen while giving a glance to her wristwatch. They are running after the time to attend Lucas', Raixen's younger brother's commencement exercises.

She still wished she was able to see Jasmien marching to the stage holding their parents hands to receive her diploma from kindergarten. She was smart, she is certain and if that was still possible, Jasmien would make an honor or perhaps rank in the top. She was always proud for their baby.

However, everything was fated to be like this, it has been 6 months since she lost her family and still grieving and feeling the pain of losing them. It wasn't easy for Shekinah to wake up in the morning and get up from bed knowing that there was no one in her house except her.

Her friends and Raixen leave after two months of staying with her. She decided to embrace the fact of being alone. She wouldn't be independent if she has her friends with her making her a baby. That is not what she need, she knew they got her back but she also want to learn to live the reality of her life.

"Yes, of course. Mom would surely pinched my ear again," Raixen said making Shekinah laughed. Raixen has to go back home after fetching Shekinah in her home because he just realized he was wearing different shoes with the same color.

"I'll be the loudest cheerleader, you look stupid in your get up earlier. I wish I didn't tell you and just waited for Felix to see you," Shekinah said.

Raixen sent a sharp glare but Shekinah ignored it. He hissed and started the car without telling Shekinah. He at first thought she would go mad because of that 'till he realized she wasn't afraid of the faster cars. She even drive herselft in beyond maximum speed limit.

Shekinah smirked making Raixen to face palm.

"Why would you do that?" He complaint.

"That what?" She asked acting like she doesn't know what he was saying about.

"Babe, you should always be in my side, you can't leave me for mom or for Lucas---"

"I can leave you for Lucas," she said, interrupting Raixen. She raised her eyebrows when he – all of a sudden pull over the gas and stop the car. Shekinah is biting her lips to prevent herself from laughing.

"What the hell Shekinah Foster?" Shekinah burst into laughter when she saw how frustrated Raixen's face is.

At the moment of laughter, Raixen's face became soft while watching Shekinah in her best of laugh. He missed her laughing like this. It's been a while that he heard her laughing this good. She's really getting back, the old Shekinah Foster is really getting back.

Without a single thought, Raixen grabbed Shekinah's head and pressed his lips against hers. Shekinah's eyes widened in shock and blinks.

"Still working, that is really the best way to shut the hard laughing mouth," Raixen said smirking. "I miss your laugh, I miss you laughing that hard by the way," he added making Shekinah looked at him.

"Damn you and your moves Gregor! Come on, drive! Tita and Lucas will surely skin you alive!" She said angrily. Raixen panicks and started the engine.

Shekinah's somehow right, his mom will surely skin him alive – wait.

"Just me?" He asked after realizing his girlfriend uses 'you' instead of 'us'.

Shekinah smiled and nodded, "a-huh, just you. Tita and Lucas loves me more than they love you, you should prepare yourself Mr. Raixen Gregor. By now, Lucas is preparing his fist and who knows his anger would just end up in the auditorium. He would probably bring that until you guys back home," she said smiling huge like a saucer.

"You're enjoying, huh?" Raixen said being annoyed on how Shekinah keeps on teasing him.

Just a couple of minute later, they finally reached where the program is being held and true to Shekinah's words, Raixen was getting a pinched in his ear and a thousands of punch from Lucas' small fists. She was just smiling looking at her boyfriend asking some help from her.

"I told you to come early! The first game is done and I wasn't able to take Lucas a pictures since I was playing with him!" his mom said frustratingly.

When both his mom and brother got tired of hurting him, he fixed his clothes and walks towards Shekinah who was enjoying seeing him fighting for his life against his mom and his brother. And even if she was showing a smile, her eyes can't deny the fact that there is still pain in there. Well, atleast she now learned to smile and laugh.

Seeing him playing with his mom and brother pained her girlfriend and thankful his mom caught his eyes and was able to tell her thru his eyes to stop and Shekinah's watching.

His mom just cleared her throat and grabbed his brother and both acted like they got tired.

"Are you okay?" Raixen asked Shekinah when suddenly became quite and looking intently to the kids – specifically, to the girls that are playing. "Babe?"

"Y-yeah? Are you saying something?"

"I was asking if you are okay," he repeated. He put her hands around her shoulder and looked at her — straight to her eyes. He wanted to show her and make her feel secured. He wanted to do that everyday.

"Ahm.. Yeah, of course. It was just — I wish I was able to see Jasmien like that too. She was bubbly, she would surely make good and lots of friends," she said and bring her eyes back to that little girls playing along with each other.

"She is probably playing with angels in heaven now. She's surely happy above and she's now happy because you are getting happier each day, you've gone too far and through a lot, babe. I am so proud of you," Raixen said and both them blink when a flash reflects in their eyes. When they turn to see what and who is the reason, there, Raixen mom's with a huge smile in her face.

"You two really look good together, come on, pictures more," his mom asked gesturing her hands for Raixen to step closer to Shekinah and he did. He did, press Shekinah's body against his and they just both laughed. "How can you two be this perfect?" his mom said dramatically. They both looked at each other when his mom turn her back and come back to where is Lucas.

"You still love her even if she's weird, don't you?" Raixen asked Shekinah without removing her eyes from his mom's back.

Shekinah laughed a little and smack Raixen's arm. "You're mom is actually adorable, not weird," she said.

Raixen's forehead knotted because of what he just heard. He then realized something and he just shrugged.

'Well, two weird women really get along, no doubt,' he said in mind shaking his head.

Shekinah intently looking at Raixen acting like crazy, shrugging himself and shaking his head for something he had in mind. She had her two fingers joined and flicked Raixen's ear making him jumped for being off-guard.

"What the heck?!" He annoyingly said while caressing his ear. "Why do you keep hurting my ear? I know it's soft but it also have bones, I can feel pain, you know," he said trying to soften his voice when he met the raising eyebrows of Shekinah. "Well, it's not that painful," he said looking away.

"Oh! That's Lucas!" Shekinah pulled his shirt and pointing her finger to the stage where there are Lucas and his classmates. Raixen's face fell and suddenly get annoyed. Shekinah is pulling him hard and they are both walking closer to his mom that is holding a camera and smiling like crazy looking at Lucas who didn't even move a bit in the stage.

"What is that kid doing there? They're just going to stand?" Raixen innocently asked but received a nudged both side from her both weird ladies. "Ouch! I'm a battered son and a boyfriend, I think, I need justice." He mumbled.

"They're going to dance, tita?" Raixen followed Shekinah's head that excitedly turns to her mother. He went face palm when his mom also proudly nodded her head.

"What? Lucas gonna dance? Mom! Why are you letting that kid there? He's just going to emba---- oh, hey!" He wasn't able to finish what he was saying when his mom pinched his side stomach with a very fine skin. Damn! That hurts!

"What's wrong with you?" Shekinah asked him confused and annoyed. He wasn't able to answer when the music started and Shekinah turns her head to the stage and clapped her hands a lot. What?

"What is that kid wearing? Why is he wearing ripped jeans and that small ripped shirt?" He asked himself and even almost whispered but Shekinah maybe had an ear of an animal because she really heard the whole sentence and there, she again gave him a death glare.

"Why are you so grumpy, Raixen Gregor? You are so annoying today. You ate right amount of food, didnt you? Also, you slept early and wake up late, so you got a good sleep so why are you crazy? And for your information, your brother wears ripped jeans because everyone have to plus that is crop top, not strangely small shirt," She said glaring at the Raixen that is acting like an innocent puppy.

"I just don't want to embarrass our name," He innocently said trying too hard not to show his wanting to form smile. "You know, I am the man of this family so I had to make sure that our image is clear, neat and clean."

"What embarrass you are talking about? You won't get embarrass if it's Lucas who is dancing. You'll get embarrassed if you are the one dancing," she said while glaring and then roll her eyes at him.

Raixen covered her mouth with his hand trying not to make a sound while laughing.

"What? I am the best dancer in our group!" He retaliates.

Raixen was just having a great day seeing Shekinah showing different emotion. He was so careful to get carefree everytime she's around because he knew how sensitive she is these past few months. Now that she looked okay, he doesn't want this day to change a mood and that's why he kept being crazy to annoy her at get her attention even if that means looking crazy in front of many people.

He also notice that some people are looking at Shekinah, some with glare and some with a smile. Those who are glaring doesn't know a single thing what his girlfriend went through just to get back the laugh and smile she deserves.

Shekinah for the past months, she still didn't speak a word in front of the camera even if those people had a chance to get close to her outside the university. She went back to school after two months of locking herself in her house, coming back and forth to all rooms there. Just went outside if she wanna visit the grave of her family that happened almost every night.

Raixen joined the cheer when the crowd hyped the kids in the stage,

"Go, Lucas!!" Shekinah laughed after hyping his brother. Raixen's happiness is overflowing, he prayed this day to come. He prayed hard that Shekinah would find happiness again and he is very thankful to their friends, his family who didn't give up on her girlfriend.

Having the happy Shekinah is the best gift he could have in her upcoming birthday. He couldn't ask for more. Shekinah is more than enough. He was with her in his 17 years. He met her when he was 7. They were together for 5 years now.

After the commencement Lucas was so happy for his 2 medals. He was so proud and didn't want to get the medals off in his neck and they just let him have it.

Raixen's mom have a reservation in a fine restaurant for the celebration and their friends came. Hedeliza who brought a huge round gift for Lucas, Lizle who also brought a long gift and Felix who brought a huge square gift. The kid is very excited to open the gifts but his mom told him not to do it yet.

They have so much food in the table and laughing in so much happiness until the two girls approach them and ruined Shekinah's mood and everyone.

"Ms. Foster, how are you right now? You lost your entire family in the accident ---"

"Do you believe in that?" Shekinah cut the girl and asked coldly.

Raixen was about to push the girls away but Shekinah stopped him. He gritted his teeth and glared the guard who didn't do anything an just let these girls interrupted them.

"The what, Ms. Foster?"

"Do you belive what did you just asked?" Shekinah didn't sound so pleased now. Her voice is becoming authoritative. The girl who asked her looked at her company that is taking a video.

"Put that away," Raixen said to the girl who's holding the camera.

"The accident? Ahm.. Well, that was what the NBI and pol----"

The girl stopped when Shekinah spoke in her hard voice.

"Alright, leave."
