MISSING: THE LAST FOSTER

Chapter 2

Huge smile of happiness was written in Shekinah's face while driving out of their village and off to her 3 kilometers away school. She couldn't remember if there was a day that she leave at hone unhappy. Her siblings are always her happy pill.

Seeing both her siblings cracking a smile and laugh – that completes her and their parents day. Their mom and dad, when they went home late from both offices and they're already sleeping, they both didn't missed to check on them in their room before going to bed.

And that's the reason why they have the rule in their home like no one is allowed to lock their rooms. She couldn't ask for more. She have the best family she could ever ask, the great circle of friends, best grades and of course, the best boyfriend.

She went through ups and down but these people was there helping her to lift her when she was feeling so down and hopeless.

Her parents would never said, stop doing that, stop working and focus on your studies. Instead, they would say, is that all you've got? Are you not going to stand your knees and lift your chin and forehead proud in the world that you did it because you did it?

They maybe got the money, yes, but their parents taught them how to live the life of in need. And that way, that's how Shekinah and Gio thankful to their strong and not abusive parents.

Her dad maybe the President of the country but the family would never go where the President should go if not necessary. If it's work and only the presence of the President is needed, they will just stay at home doing their chores.

They would never abuse the opportunity.

They actually doesn't have a history of the family being in the politics. Her dad, being the only son and her mom being the only daughter, they do not have uncle and aunts, they do not have a wide relatives, they only got their family, their own family, nothing else.

Their parents was already known in the society because of the biggest charity for poorest they held even before. Her mom advocacy is to "will never see any homeless around no one will die in hunger," so basically their money is not just their money.

And because of that, some huge people with a name in the society came over their home and asked their parents to become the voice of the people and sit a chair in the government. Those people even said that her parents won't need to take a peso in their pocket. They offered a help and a money for their campaign.

Her dad just laughed sarcastically at that, her parents don't f*cking need a help of other people's money. Especially not, from the known corrupt government officials.

Her mom would never go enter the politics but her dad agreed and accept the challenge of being a government official, independently. Her dad won finished 6 years of being a senator. The next election people was shouting for him to take the position of the President and her dad said yes with the full support of the family and won.

They received death threats along the way but it stopped after her dad was declared as the newly elected President of the country.

And one lesson their dad said after the declaration, "I am the President and you are not. Never ever use my name and position to get VIP. Yes, your surname would says it all but never your mouth, you guys make your own name, with dedication."

That made her father as the best President himself. She and Gio are going to school by themselves no bodyguards to see. But of course, they can't just go that complacent. Their parents didn't said a word but they knew there's a bodyguard out there looking at them even before the father of their family became a politician.

Shekinah blinks a lot when she spotted the gate of their school. She was almost lost herself reminiscing memories about her family. She rolled the blade down and gave a smile to the guard before showing her parking area ID as an access to the parking lot.

They got their own lot here, they rented the space exclusive for their cars only. Well, almost all of the students that usually brings their cars with them did the same thing. And that, benefited for both the students and the school to avoid commotions.

She let out a little laugh when she spotted her favorite students of this school leaning on their cars laughing and all their eyes widened when their eyes landed on her coming car. For the nth time, she's the last comer, not late but last, still not late so still good.

Her parking place is next to her boyfriend's who's now smiling at her. She went out from her car chuckling while accepting the wide arms of her beloved.

"Can you two stop being so cheesy for once?" Hedeliza, her friend complained.

They have 5 members in the group and they were friends since primary grade. There are Hedeliza Tejares, Felix Villamonte, Lizle Samaniego and her boyfriend, Raixen Gregor. Lizle and Felix are also together for quite a long time now. Hedeliza herself, well, she's beautiful, she's hot but she's also into beautiful girls, so yeah.

"Can you stop being so bitter for once?" Lizle fired back making them all to burst into laughter. Hedeliza rolled her eyes and shows her middle finger to them.

They were cracking a laughter while walking down the hallway of the parking area to their lecture room.

Shekinah and Lizle are both taking up the same program while the boys are and Hedeliza being the daughter of the chefs also wanted to be the kitchen's bestfriend. Now, she's taking HRM and soon will go in a culinary school after graduation. Shekinah and Lizle wants to be lawyer while the boys wants to be doctor.

This school are divided into different programs. You graduated in college in this school you do not need to go and find another to join law school. This school can offer and for the past consecutive 10 years, this school is taking over the top 5 of the board exam.

"What took you so long?" Raixen asked, while having his arm over Shekinah's shoulder.

"Jasmien," she said, laughing a little when she remembers the scene they had at home.

"The little Foster, how's she? Yesterday was her birthday, I have a present for her in the car," he said.

Shekinah's eyed widened like she got something in her head. She then blocked her friends way making them stopped and take her hand out and open her palm.

"What is that? Are you a beggar now?"

She sent a glare to Felix who raises his brows and calls her a beggar.

"Dimwit! Give me your presents!" She said, scolding them all. The three except Raixen looks confused. Raixen whistles like he's out of the picture and stand beside his girlfriend that is now scary as hell.

"It's not your birthday, b*tch! Why would we give you a present?" Lizle said, grimacing a face. Shekinah's eyes sharpened and her shoulders fell. She looks at Raixen who doesn't seem part of the group preventing his smile cracking in his face.

"It's not for me! It's for the little Foster!"

They all gasped except Raixen who happened to have his present ready in his car.

"Why didn't you tell us sooner?" Hedeliza complained.

"Jasmien sent a video message you all telling it's her birthday and she's collecting huge gifts from the four of you, you bunch of a dickhead promised," she said rolling her eyes.

"But don't worry, you still have time to prepare your gifts, they're going to a birthday vacation today." She said, smiling.

The three breathed a sigh of relief. She was just actually joking. They're not necessarily hand a gift to her sister she was just trying if they all got some like they always do. Sometimes these crackheads comes in their house without a warning. Well, they does that to each other's house and bringing a gifts with them.

"Well, we have in the car," she heard from Lizle that made her look at her.

"Say it again?" she's clearing as if she didn't hear it right.

"Babe, are you deaf?" Raixen asked, laughing, "aah... ouch, hey! I was just asking, I mean kidding," she groaned when she pinched his ears. Some kind of a hobby.

Jasmien, their little precious would surely be happy when she goes home seeing the huge gifts waiting for her to open. She couldn't miss that for the world.
