MISSING: THE LAST FOSTER

Excuse me? Is anybody here?" Raixen said, shouting and knocking the door. After the 15 minutes walk and in the bottom of the tiny road, there's this only 2 storey house, made of wood.

"Is it locked? I think it's not locked," Shekinah said when she put her hand in the door knob and tried to rotate it. Shekinah's eyes widened and turns to look at Raixen who's standing beside her trying to sneak his eyes in the window. "It's open, babe," she said.

Even though the nervousness she is feeling in her chest is in the higher level. Shekinah still have the guts to enter this strange house in the middle of the tallest grasses she have ever seen.

"Don't, we do not know what is in there inside," Raixen said, whispering and pulled Shekinah to put her in his back. Raixen tried to put his hand in the door knob but the door suddenly got wide open before his hand touches the knob. Shekinah stepped backward as well as Raixen in shocked.

There's nobody here, no one came out from the door. No sound of anything at all. Shekinah and Raixen looked at each other like their eyes are talking. Raixen take a step first and Shekinah is following him while the two of them are being attentive. Whatever is in this house, both of them can fight but whatever information she is getting in this house, hopefully, can be a big help.

"I'll check here, please see what you can see in the other side, babe," Shekinah seriously said and Raixen nodded.

Gone the fear in their eyes but Shekinah's nervous of the possible thing she might find, if there's any. Also, they are invading other people's privacy. For someone who's studying law like her, going inside other people's house without permission is a crime but she will just forget that, because she is also working justice for the crime.

"Be attentive and don't let your guard down, be safe," Raixen said, reminding Shekinah.

Shekinah slowly walk upstairs feeling some strange things about the environment, she is being so attentive. Checking each other's corner if someone is there looking at her or waiting for her but there's nothing. No one's here.

When she reached upstairs, she saw three closed door and she is having a second thought of opening them. But Shekinah being Shekinah, she won't get an answer of her questions if she is not going to dig deeper of what makes her curious or that gave her a thought about that things.

Shekinah got startled when something loud sound came from the 3rd room. She was about to approach the room slowly but someone grabbed her arms that made her stop and jump in startle.

Shekinah got her tongue tied when she perfectly saw the face of the person that grabbed her hands. She took a two step backward facing a woman in her like early 30's wearing a fitted black sleeveless shirt and a lose pants paired with a black shoes, she looks like someone from action movies.

The woman is stepping forward with her serious face and that makes Shekinah steps backward. She kept herself not to show this woman that she is afraid of her. Shekinah is taller than this woman but buy judging her body, she would say she can have a very good fight with this girl.

Shekinah trusts herself, she know she is capable in doing a fight but what makes her think is, she doesn't have a single idea what this woman is capable of doing. She is pretty sure that this girl knows her or maybe knew that she would really be going back to this place. Shekinah gulp and instantly take a look downstairs through the banister when she suddenly heard someone shouted in there and she knew that voice, that was Raixen!

She looked at the woman back with a wide eyes. "What did you do to my boyfriend?" She asked in a low but strong voice. Her eyes are also giving a sharp look.

She was about to run downstairs and pass by the side of the woman when she speaks and that catches her attention.

"What took you so long?" The woman asked without looking at her, she is standing behind the woman ready to take the stairs down.

Shekinah's eyes narrowed and slowly turn her head to see the woman and the back of it is the one that is facing her. "What did you say?" She asked almost whispering. Shekinah glanced the stairs and take a step aside so she won't fall in there. The woman turn and face her still wearing the serious face she had earlier.

"Don't worry about your boyfriend, he won't get harmed. My question is, what took you so long?" The woman repeated with her question that Shekinah do not f*cking know what was that question for? What the hell is this woman refering about?

"What do you mean?" She asked, bewildered.

"Follow me," the woman said and walk towards the 3rd door where in the loud sound came from. Shekinah is having a second thought of following this woman. Torn between her curiousity and to check Raixen downstairs. She is going to mercilessly kill this woman if she is lying about Raixen even if that will lead her into behind bars.

Shekinah take a step forward and follow the woman who didn't even look her back to check if she really followed. When they are finally standing in front of the closed door, Shekinah's forehead knotted when another loud sound came from inside. She chose to stay silent and just see her eyes what is in there to feed her curiousity.

The woman take the keys out from her pocket. When the door opens, Shekinah gasped and covered her mouth with her two hands.

"What the f*ck!" She said, yelling when the woman open the door wide and to let her see what is in there. She is seeing her entire family in a dining with a huge smile in their faces. Her tears comes out and she couldn't handle her sobs anymore.

"Mom, dad, Gio, Jasmien," Shekinah almost lost her balance when they looked at her when she called them and smiled. What? Her knees are shaking and her mind is suddenly in mess.

Shekinah walks slowly towards her smiling dad who's sitting very close to her. But when she was about to hug him, he vanished without blinking. Her eyes widened and looked at her other family members, they are also looking at her dad's chair and the smile they have in their faces are gone.

She looked at the woman angrily and gritted her teeth. "What the f*ck is that?! What are you doing?! Are you playing the f*ck with me?!" She said, yelling and attack the girl while her tears are non-stop. She's still seeing her happy family with lots of foods in the table.

The woman's not fighting her back. The one's dodging all her attacks and accepting her kicks when she caught her off-guard. Shekinah continuously releasing tears, buckets of tears until she get tired and stopped attacking the girl.

Shekinah's losing her balance and stepping backwards until her back touches the wall. She again, take a steps forward to get close to her family, afraid of attempting to touch them because of what happened to her dad.

"I miss you guys, I miss you so much," she said, crying hard.

"They waited for you," the woman said. Shekinah turn her head and looked at the woman with a sharp look and gritted her teeth.

"Who are you?" she strongly asked.

The woman was about to speak when Raixen's voice echoed the whole house. The woman throw something to Shekinah that she also successfully and smoothly catch.

"Keep that yourself and do not tell anybody," she said before hiding herself in the room. Shekinah's eyes widened when the space where she can see her family is getting smaller until the door totally get closed and the woman throw a picture frame of her from the inside.

Shekinah wasn't able to speak a word when he heard Raixen's footsteps running through upstairs and calling her. She quickly put the thing she do not know what in her sweater's pocket and wipe her tears.

"Babe!" She looked at the stairs and there her boyfriend panting and pull her for a hug. Her tears again came out uninvited. "What is that? Is that your picture? Where did you get that?" Raixen asked and picked up her picture frame in the floor.

"I saw that there, just there, in that floor. Can we open the rooms? I haven't seen that yet. That room is closed and I was trying to open but I can't," she lied and dragging Raixen to the room in the center.

"Don't!" Raixen stop her when she was about to hold the door knob. "We have to get out of here. Babe, there are people in here and they're not funny. This place is dangerous and we have to get out of here, right now!" He seriously said while looking at her straight to her eyes and holding both her shoulder.

Raixen is looking at everywhere, downstairs and all. He then hold her hand and pull her downstairs but Shekinah stopped. Raixen look at her with confusion.

"What do you mean? Have you seen anyone, here?" She asked trying to be sound confused.

"Did you cry?" But instead of answering her question, Raixen's eyes narrowed and finally notices her eyes. Strange that he didn't noticed her earlier, but also understandable because he was in a rush. "Babe? What happened? Did they hurt you? They locked me in a room downstairs but I don't understand because they just also unlocked the room and let me out, the people here are crazy!" He added.

"I found this picture frame of mine, Rex. I don't have a copy of this. Isn't it strange that I have a picture in this house? I still want to roam this house, Raixen," she said with determination.

When the woman hurried to hide herself when they heard Raixen's voice, she understands why maybe some of that woman colleagues locked Raixen in a room that she didn't like, but she understands why they did that, maybe these people don't want to show themselves to other people aside from her. They knew her, they knew her family and that means a lot. They would also probably know the reason of her family's death. Hopefully.

"But, babe! There is something in this house! People here are dangerous!" Raixen retaliates trying to convince Shekinah.

"Didn't we think that when we get here? In the first place, we already knew that this will be dangerous. If you can't take here anymore, you can go and wait for me in the car. But I'm not living this place without an information in my hand, Raixen," she seriously said that obviously frustrates Raixen and pulled his hair.

Shekinah didn't wait Raixen to speak and move towards the middle room and open it. She inhale and exhale sharply before inviting herself inside but before she was able to fully get inside, Raixen hold her arm and stop her.

"Let me, first," he said. A ghost smile is cracking in Shekinah's face but she avoided it. She followed Raixen inside and gasped when they saw the room's wall with her family's pictures hanged in there.

"What the hell?!" Raixen swears of the view.

Shekinah gulps and proceed to the mini table beside that single bed and pull the drawer. There are two drawers in there and the first one doesn't have anything in there but the second one has a paper with a word "secret" is written on it.

Shekinah gave a glance to her boyfriend who is busy looking at the computer monitor in there. She immediately picked up the paper but she noticed it has a tie on it that she has to remove. She put the paper in her pocket and walk towards Raixen who is trying to open the computer.

"This monitor is working but the system unit is broken, you want us to open it and see what is in there?" He asked Shekinah that immediately nodded her head. Raixen smiles and put a peck kiss in her forehead. "I'm sorry of what I have said, earlier. I was worried about you," he said.

"I understand, don't worry and don't forget, we can both fight. I maybe a crying baby, but I am not weak, babe. I can also break bones," she said making Raixen smile widely.

But both of them stopped when a loud bang echoed the whole place and the door suddenly locked itself.
