Charlie’s POV
Thomas “I’m going for a run.”
He leaves the hall in a direction I don’t know. I need to remember to ask David where that exit goes.
Charlie “I don’t get something.”
David “What is it, sweetheart?”
Charlie “He is the Alpha right?”
Brian “Yes.”
I look at Brian lifting an eyebrow at his quick commanding response.
Charlie “She is the Queen?”
David “Yup, correct so far.”
Charlie “If I understand correctly, they are mates, right?”
Brian “Just get to the point pixie!”
Brian gets impatient with all the questions and David growls protecting his girl…me. The thought makes me all warm and fuzzy inside and I can’t help but smile.
Charlie “Hey, I’m just trying to figure things out around here.”
I shrug.
