Chapter 46 THEODORE BROWN POV ■■■ When I was young, I used to find my solace at the darkest moments in life. I used to watch the fury of my father reduce as he would curse in his sleep and fall asleep with a bottle in his hand, in the middle of the room, his clothes discarded, his hair messier, with a foul smell around him. I hated him, throughout the whole of my childhood. The day and night, he made it horrible to stick around that I hated being his son. But when I used to watch him stutter his words, his movements getting uneasy as he would be intoxicated, his words mixed up, jabbering and finally when I used to watch his eyes shut, there used to be a pause.
