Sebastian POV
Things were not going well. The hunt for a new nanny seems to be a waste of time so little of them actually has the qualifications and hen the do ad I try o get hold of the referrals I can’t reach them or they don’t remember the nanny I’m talking about. The ones I actually give an interview to don’t match the CV. No on seems to meet the standard that Mila has set. Which is sad since she got fired within tree days. The fact that they can’t even live up to that standard is shocking. The one person I actually decide to give trial run quite after the first day. The kids seemed to give her a hard time. They seem to be plotting against the idea of any new nanny. They want Mila or they want to go without anyone. It has made my week exceptionally hard. I’m not getting to any of my work since Ava has decided that she will not accept anyone, but me. This has forced me to spend my time with her in her lessons. It’s very time consuming. I hardly get a breather, now I know what Mila meant by me over scheduling Ava. I’m starting to appreciate Mila all the more now that she I gone. If one child I so difficult the I can’t even imagine how it must have been to take care of all three of them. I’m starting to think that I might have overreacted.
I started to doubt my actions, but then I received the envelope in the post. How dare she insult me by sending h money back to me, after she had asked for I. She is an infuriating women. I will never understand her. The nerve of her. I will give the money back to her and if she seems to look down and desperate I will give her, her job back. I’m just that nice. I will not tel her how we struggled without hr, that is something that she doesn’t need know. I want her feel thankful to me. I need her to come back, but I don’t want her to feel like she has the upper hand. I set of as soon as Ava was taking her nap. I didn’t want to strap her in, but I needed to be back before she wakes up or I need to be back with Mila. I went to the bed and breakfast where I knew she was staying, but I was informed that she had gotten a new job. This bothered me more than it should have. I wanted her t b desperate to come back to work for me, I didn’t want her to move on. I decided to go to her new job and sheif she is happy her, I mu still be able t convince her to come back with me.
When I waked into the tiny bakery I already knew that she wasn’t getting the same pay that I offered her. The place was small and hidden away. I can’t imagine that it has a lot of clients. It did smell heavenly though I didn’t see her so I walked over to the girl an asked for Mil. The girl at the counter was all miles, bu she was utterly plain compared to Mila with he fiery red hair and emerald green eyes. It didn’t take long for Mila to show up, she looked tired which was a good sign for me. I though she might just beg me to give her, her job back, but instead I got attitude. She had the nerve to tell me that she didn’t want my money. Se claimed I humiliated her. She had asked for the money and I had given it to hr. She could be grateful or the extra bit it does seem like she needs it. On thing was clear though there was no way I could ask her to come back not when she is so set on being rude to me. It’s like she doesn’t eve know who I am. No on talks to me like this. I am Sebastian Valdez. I was fuming the whole a home and I knew that I would have to deal with a screaming Ava. I’ll jut have to try and get a new nanny. I’ll just have to stop comparing everyone to her, It was clear that she had moved on and I should respect that choice.
Although it was easier said than done. I really tried to find someone that was young enough to keep up with Ava as well as be friendly and creative. Then she needs to have be able to be strict with Alexis and keep a strict eye on Matthew. No one seem to fit, but I think it’s because I still have a certain red head on my mind. I tried to forget her, but it seems like she is turning out to be unforgettable. Not only am I thinking about her when I’m looking for her replacement, but I’m dreaming about her to. It’s a good thing that I am seeing my girlfriend this weekend, I need a distraction that isn’t red head. Zoella is a model and travels a lot or her job, which means that we don’t see a lot of each other. It make it difficult for us to become more serious. It’s both frustrating and a gift. I’m not sure how serious I want to become with her. I like having her round, but she is a lot like my ex wife. I think my money plays a big role in our relationship. I also don’t think that she is ready for something more. She is still young and she enjoys jet setting around the world.
Another day has gone by and I’m now desperate, noting seems to work and the only thing that seems to make sense is for me to get Mila back. I can’t continue like this. My whole life is being taken up by chaos. I’ll do anything to get her back at this point. I went to the bed an breakfast because I was sure she would be off from work by now. I got there and once again she wasn’t there. It seems like she is just never here. I asked for her and found out tat she had moved in with her co-worker. The lady informed me that they were living in the apartment above the bakery. She seemed irritated with me. She continued by telling me I was bothering her guests popping up here when ever I wished. She also said it was clear that Mila didn’t want to see me, because if she wanted to she would have given me the address. She only gave me the address so that I stop bothering her. I walked away from the bed and breakfast searing if I ever get the chance to buy it up from under them and level it and build something there. When I calmed down a bit I realized it was her livelihood and I couldn’t just buy it away from them.. I’ll just have to be silently fuming about it.
I finally made it to the bakery, I can’t believe that this girl is causing me so much trouble. I parked my car and made my way up the stairs. The door wasn’t even locked at the bottom of the stairs. There isn’t even a guard. This is not a safe place to stay. I walked to the apartment and knocked. I could here movement from inside the apartment.
”I’ll get it! I don’t know who it could be though.” I heard the other girl yelling and then she opened the door. She first looked shocked, then angry and lastly a big smile crept onto her face.
”Drama! Come in.” She is very weird. This place isn’t good for Mila, it’s not safe and I feel this person is a bad influence. She gave way so I walked in. The place was a mess, not only was the living room functioning as a bedroom, but the place was dirty. There were dishes everywhere and what I imagine to be dirty laundry. I don’t think that Mila is messy. This girl must be lazy. She lives above her job, it’s not like she has a commute. She can get up a little bit earlier ad clean up or do it before she goes to bed. Mila cam ou of the bathroom with just a towel covering her body.
“Who was it?” She asked, not looking up.
”Guess!” Mila’s head shot up in confusion, but then she saw me. She instantly tried to cover herself up. I averted my eyes like a gentleman, but in truth my eyes has already scanned her body, she has gorgeous legs. Her friend walked over to her with some clothes. She was fuming as she grabbed it and rushed off to get dressed. It wasn’t long before she came back glaring at me. I wasn’t even the one at fault here it was her friend that caused her this discomfort since she wanted drama.
”Why are you here?” She asked me folding her arms across her chest which is when I noticed she wasn’t wearing a bra. Her friend must not have given her one, evil little minx trying to stir up trouble.
”I want you to come back.” She froze this was clearly the last thing she expected me to say she even seemed to forget that she was angry with me.
”What?” She asked me totally flabbergasted by what I had said.
”He said that he wants you, he meant that he needs you.” Her friend jumped in, her word were exactly what I meant, but the way she said it, made it sound like something completely different. She wanted it to sound s****l.
”No the kids need you, thy have been making it exceptionally hard for anyone new I appoint. They want you back so I came to get you back…for them.” Leaving out the part that I need her back as well and that I’ve been thinking about her non stop.
”You fired me an humiliated me and you think I will just come back?” I should have know she would b stubborn. I just need to manipulate her.
“I thought you said that you cared about the children and now that they want you back, you don’t care anymore.” Playing on her feelings isn’t nice, but I am here to get her back.
”Oh he is good.” Her friend said sitting don on the coach, watching the show. Mila was staring at me in disbelief. She couldn’t believe that I would hit so low.
”I won’t come back if things stay the same. It sounds to me that you need me more than the kids. They are giving you a hard time. So if you want me back it will have to be on my terms.” I ground my teeth together. It’s hard with the both of us being stubborn. I want to tell her to leave it, but I have tried getting by without her and it doesn’t work. I need to leave with her today.
”What are your terms?” I asked her and I could see a slight smile on her face. She thinks that she has won.
”I’m fine with Ava’s schedule, but you need to give the bigger kids more freedom. Matthew likes tennis, but he is already good in it. You can loosen the reigns and only let him go once a week and then he can do tournaments. He needs free time to be a kid and hang out with his friend. As for Alexis she enjoys being scheduled, but she needs to have more responsibility at home. She has an attitude and she pulls away from any real commitment. She isn’t close with her siblings and she never talks about her friends. She needs to learn that there is more to life than he grades and polo.” I was shocked by hr terms. I thought she would ask for more money or less hours, but instead she only asked for things for the kids. No one is so selfless.
“Fine I agree to your terms…”
”And I won’t be moving back.” She sad as soon as I agreed to her terms.
”I won’t accept that one. You need to move back.” I told he, I wasn’t going to let her live here it is to dangerous. Her hours are to long anyway, it’s better for her to be there. This is what I told her, but I knew that I had my own reasons for wanting her around all the time.
”Why? You didn’t even want me to live with you in the first place.” She had m there, but I don’t care anymore.
”And now I do. Take it o leave it.” I knew she could fight me on this and I would have to give in at the end, but I want her to believe that she doesn’t have a choice.
”Fine, but I will not be working tomorrow as it will be my last day at the bakery.” I won, but I still have to suffer one more day without her.
“That is understandable. Should I bring your car here or will you come with a taxi.” I don’t want to bring her car, it might just get stolen with it parked on the street all day.
”No it’s fine. I will take a taxi. I’ll see you tomorrow night. You can leave now.” She told me. She I way to sassy now that she got what she wants. I smiled knowing that from tomorrow she I working for me. Se won’t be sassy with me again. Now I need to go tell the kids the good news. They will be overjoyed.
