Chapter 9~ The Fight

1013 Words
Azula~ Odette was sloppy, her moves would have been far more precise if they weren’t clouded and weighed down by unnecessary anger. Twisting alongside Odette’s sloppy lunge to end up behind her, kicking out her foot to sweep her off her feet but the brunette was quick jumping to avoid falling. She couldn't help but smirk as she moved in a flash that small jump gave her an opening for she knew Odette can not dodge in the air. Her clenched fist built momentum as she sent it flying into the bottom side of Odette’s jaw in a gruesome upper-cut, the motion caused the woman to land with a heavy thud and most would have kicked her while she was down but as much as she hated that she was his chosen Luna… she wanted her to learn for the pack she was supposed to protect… she wanted Odette to learn for him. Azula outstretched her hand to the fallen she-wolf “Let me help you,” she murmured gently, Odette looked shocked but accepted her hand anyways. Pulling her to her feet as they took their places once more except this time she went first, giving a fake lunge to the right before dipping low in a squatted lunged on the left. Her hand found the ground as she used it to stable herself sending her foot to connect with Odette’s knee with a loud crack. Odette dropped to the ground with a strangled cry. She stood brushing herself off as she moved to her “this is going to hurt I’m sorry” she said honestly, working to carefully snap her leg back in place. The gruesome sound echoed throughout the fighting arena. “Medics” she called looking up as a stretcher was brought over and she helped them place the woman onto it. “I snapped her leg back in place so it’ll heal correctly.” She explained taking a step back to allow them to move off with her. Now for the first time since the fight, she turned her attention back to the Alpha, her mate, the look of pride littered his golden eyes along with another emotion she couldn’t quite place. She fought not to flush under his intense gaze as she tried to remain as neutral as possible, “anyone else you would like me to fight?” She questioned. “I want to fight him … in bed … with no clothes on .. And questionable positions.” Seraphina purred with a sultry voice. Did her wolf just resign herself into popping up at random times with the most absurd comments? “There is someone else I’d like you to fight” Vulcan spoke causing her to focus on him. “Me” the Alpha spoke stepping forward. Physically … he was stronger … power-wise she was… blue flames burned so many degrees hotter than his own but he mentioned no flames. She would have to rely on her speed and agileness if she was going to beat him. Studying his form as he took it. “Very well,” she gave in, holding his gaze in a silent challenge as she took her position as well. She decided to lunge first but she had no idea where his speed came from, for he twisted the upper half of his body in a quick side step managing to bring his hand down on the back of her head forcing her to lose her balance as his knee came up to connect with her belly. A loud grunt escaped her though when she was grabbed and lifted by her neck she saw her opportunity swinging her legs to wrap them around his arms horizontally, her feet now digging into his shoulder and side. Azula then used her hand to grip the arm she was clung to and adding pressure snapping his shoulder out of socket and twisted downward forcing his body to follow the direction of the arm and rolling him on the ground where she was now on top raining hits while she had the opportunity. She had stated before she didn’t kick people when they were down but with him it was a must. He used his good fist to send a wallop of an upper-cut into her jaw causing her to fly off of him backward and connected with the ground. Her ankle was grabbed as he threw her like a rag doll her back connecting with the arena wall. A surprised yelp escaped from her lips as her head connected viciously with the wall. Her vision danced but still, she wasn’t the one to give up dragging herself to her feet just in time to see him charging making a quick decision to use the wall behind her as leverage, managing to flip off of it just high enough to dodge him as she reached out grabbing his head as she did so dragging him back down by the head slamming it against the ground. She had thought she had won but he managed to flip her and rain hits upon her. Some she was able to dodge and others she wasn’t. She saw one small opening, with lightning-quick reflexes she allowed him to land a punch but traded one for herself landing it on his throat as she then tackled him her hand posed over his chest above his heart. A position everyone knew well, it was one way to kill a werewolf by showing your hand through the chest cavity and ripping out one’s heart. “Submit” she muttered on the verge of passing out. His voice was just low enough for her and only her to hear. “You are stronger then I could have imagined Azula, we are truly destined for great things. You can rest now.” Seraphina said in a state of shock but she ignored it for now simply trying to remain conscious. “I submit” he finally whispered and a small smile appeared on her lips. And then everything went black.
