I kissed Aris, savouring the moment we had together. I was aware of the people waiting outside, of the servants passing by and of my handmaidens standing just a little behind me, but even my human prudeness wouldn’t stop this moment from happening.  When our lips finally parted, he held my face in his hands. I smiled up at him, even though he looked sad.  “It’s only for a few days, we’ll be fine.” I said.
