“I’m Farah. What’s your name?”She asked.   The man looked at her with his reddish eyes. “My name’s Mason. Mason Nighthowl.”     Farah furrowed her eyebrows with what she heard. She’s confused. Why is this man claiming to be the lycanthrope King? But if you do looked at him closely he does looked like the King! That’s why she finds him familiar. “Wait, wait. You can’t be him. Because he’s up in the castle celebrating –“ “Our birthday.” The man cut her off.   Farah felt more confuse. “Our birthday? What do you mean by ‘our birthday’?”Farah asked.   The man sighed. “I am the real Mason. That man out there pl aying King and playing husband to my wife is my twin brother, Marlon Nighthowl.”The man said. “Twin brother? Wait, how would I know you are not shitting me? You’re just a wolf stuck in this place for god knows how long.” “One hundred years. I’ve been locked up here for one hundred years.”The man who claimed to be Mason said.       “Why?”Farah asked.   The man gave her a deadpan look. “Why don’t you ask that asshole playing king? He put me in here.”The man said. “Why?” “Ask him!”   Farah rolled her eyes. “So how are we going to get out of this place?”Farah asked. “The question is how did you get in here?”He asked back   Farah thought for a second. “I don’t know. I just followed what the wind is telling me.”She answered. “The wind...” The man trailed and then he grabbed Farah’s hand, which surprised her. “W-What a-are you doing?”   Mason ignored her and just feels the current of air around them. When the wind picks up, and it began whistling again Mason’s ear twitched. “Come on.”He said, pulling Farah into a certain direction without letting go of her hand.   The two of them walk straight until they saw a light at the end of the dark tunnel. Farah finally felt relieved when they reached that light. She closed her eyes for the light is too blinding. And when she opened them, she felt the cold breeze of the night and she looked around only to realize they’re in the garden.   Farah looked around and she saw the lights in the palace are still on and she can still hear the music, looks like the party is still in full swing. She looked towards the man and he was glaring towards the direction of the palace. “What are you going to do? If you are really the King like you claim you are, shouldn’t you be marching up there and claim your rightful place?”Farah asked. “And have the whole royal army, gang up on me? No. As much as I want to take my wife, I cannot right now. Not when I’m still weak.”Mason said. “You know what you need to do first?”She asked and Mason looked at her. “What?” “Take a bath. You smell like a wet dog.”Farah answered scrunching her nose.   Mason stared at her and laughed out loud. “I guess you are right, I haven’t taken a shower in a century. So do you know where I can take a shower? I cannot just walk in my own chambers.”   Farah contemplated what she’ll do, until she huffed and wrapped her arms around her. “Let’s go to my place.”Farah said.   Then she grabbed Mason’s hand and she tugged him towards the exit. Once they were out of the palace grounds, Farah hailed a cab and they rode it towards the house they were using.  And when they got there, the lights are still out meaning the twins are still out, so Farah unlocked the door and they went in. Farah led him upstairs to her room, and she opened the light when they got in.   Farah went to her closet and she pulled out a paper bag. “I brought this for Matt but you looked like you needed this more.”Farah said, pulling out a sweat pants from the paper bag.   She gave them to Mason and then she went to the bathroom and opened the light. “There are towels, soap and shampoo inside. I also have a razor there if you want to shave your face. Don’t worry, it’s brand new.””Farah said.   Mason smiled at her. “Thank you.”He said, and then he went inside the bathroom.   When the bathroom door closed, Farah sighed in relief. She went towards the closet and she grabbed herself some tank top and pyjamas. She immediately stepped out of her dress and put on her pyjamas, and top. Then she went towards her dresser and grabbed a few wet wipes, and then she began to wipe off her makeup.   Farah was combing her hair when the bathroom door opened, and Mason stepped out drying his hair with a towel and he’s topless. Farah gawked at the freshly bathed and clean shaven Mason. The man looked really handsome, with his washboard abs, and she can feel her heart skip a beat upon looking at him.   They fell in silence until Farah averted her gaze and hand him a shirt. “Good thing you have the same size as Matt.” “Uhm thanks for the clothes. They do fit; I hope your boyfriend doesn’t mind.”Mason said.   Farah blinked her eyes twice, before what he said registered to her. “Oh, Matt is not my boyfriend. He’s just a friend.”Farah said. “Oh.” “Uhm, are you hungry? I can grab a few stuff downstairs.”Farah said and then she went out of the room.   Mason wore the plain white shirt and he began looking around the room. It was plain and almost empty. All he sees are some girly hygiene stuff, notebooks and sketches on top of the dresser. He looked at the sketches, sketches of dresses. Not done professionally but the design has an edge to it.   When Farah came back, she was carrying two mugs and a basket of bread. Mason immediately helped her with what she’s carrying, and he placed them on top of the side table. “That’s all we have in our kitchen.”Farah said.   Mason looked at the food, and it’s more than enough; warm milk and the flaky bread that he loves as a boy. Mason smiled and grabbed one piece of bread and he took a huge bite, and then memories of his childhood came back to him. He took a sip of warm milk and he felt like he’s going to cry. “By the look on your face, I don’t know if you are just plain hungry or you’re remembering the taste of food.”Farah said.   Mason grinned. “Both. I haven’t eaten any food while I was inside that place but I never got hungry. And this bread, I loved this when I was a boy. Devin and I would always sneak into the kitchen to grab some from the royal cook.”Mason said. “Well go ahead and eat. Now that you’re out of that place, I’m sure you are hungry.”Farah said. “Actually I am.”He said, taking another bite of the bread.   Farah smiled while watching him. She took the other mug and took a sip of warm milk. “You’re designs are pretty nice.”Mason said. “Oh, those? I’m just trying them out. I was fascinated with my bosses’ work so I had to try.”Farah said. “You have a talent.”Mason said and took a sip of his milk.
