“Finn needed to go to work, but here’s Shaun’s number,” Lily said, handing Liam a small slip of paper. “Finn’s dad wasn’t super keen on the idea of giving it to you, but he came around eventually.”
“Thanks,” Liam replied, tucking the piece of paper into his back pocket. “I guess trusting a Council member with this seems a bit insane,” he agreed with a grimace.
“Yeah, but Finn and I trust you, which is what made the difference,” Lily explained with a sympathetic smile. “You saved Finn’s life, Liam, and I’ll never be able to repay you for that.”
