I was up at 3 a.m. got only 4 hours of sleep but I was too eager to sleep. I linked Vincent. “I am ready,” I said. “Meet me at the west end,” he said. I threw clothes in a bag, shifted and left. I ran fast but it took me a good hour to reach them. I shifted back behind a tree. It was easier to talk in human form. “Millie, good morning,” Alpha said. He looked horrible. He obviously hadn’t slept and the distance of his Luna was already taking a toll. “Good morning, Alpha,” I said. “Our trackers could not pick up a scent after the balcony. Understandable. They were in the air. Damn dragons.” He growled. “I agree with that sentiment,” I chimed in. He smiled. “The pull for me is stronger here. It feels like rubber and is pulled to the max, tearing my heart. Here is a bit less painful
