Chapter Eleven - My safe place

Ryker 

We had had finally arrived in Paris, and we were making our way to the hotel. It had been a long assed flight, but it gave us all a chance to catch up on some sleep. I felt better for it since I barely slept last night. I had decided I was pushing everything to the back of my mind. I don’t want my s**t ruining things for Alena, that wouldn’t be fair. All my problems can wait. My main priorities are Alena, the shows and the fans. Everything else can wait. 

We wouldn’t have much time to spend seeing Paris, due to my schedule, but the time we do have, I will make sure it is memorable for Alena. We will make the most of the time we will have.  

“Can we go a walk after we have dumped everything at the hotel?” Alena asked, her head on my shoulder as we sat in the car. 

“Of course we can,” I smiled, kissing the top of her head, “We can go grab coffee and pastries somewhere,” I added. 

“Yay!” She said excited, looking up at me, “You doing OK, baby boy?” She added. 

“I will be fine, beautiful,” I said, kissing her, “I am feeling better than what I was. I am not letting all that ruin this for us, for you,” I added. 

“I love you,” She said softly.

“I love you too, darling,” I said, slipping my arm around her. 

Alena moved, her warm breath falling at my ear. The sudden feel of it made me shudder. 

“I can’t wait to make love in Paris,” She whispered, kissing my neck softly, “And in Italy, Spain, London, Scotland and everywhere else,” She added. 

I swallowed hard. I couldn’t wait for that either. Alena giggled, pulling away. She was such a little tease sometimes, but she was my little tease, and that was all that mattered. 

“Naughty girl,” I laughed. 

“Who me? Never,” She said, batting her lashes at me. 

I shook my head, chuckling and kissed her once more. It never took long for us to get to the hotel. The hotel was beautiful, and you could get a great view of the Eiffel tower. It was the same hotel we stayed at any time that we were here. I stepped out first, giving Alena a hand. 

“Oh my God, this place is beautiful,” She said, wide-eyed. 

“Wait until you see the view from our room,” I smiled. 

We grabbed our bags, and they were soon getting taken off of us, and taken into the hotel for us. I used to insist I take them myself but soon learned it never mattered. I always made sure to tip them well, though. I used my free hands to my advantage and took hold of Alena’s hand, heading inside. Natalie checked us in, grabbing our card keys and handing them out to us. I waited until everyone was out of the way. 

“Have you heard anything? Any message or that once you put your phone off flight mode?” I asked. 

“Nothing as of yet, sorry Ryker,” Natalie said, sadly. 

“It is OK,” I replied shrugging.

I sighed, and we headed to our room. I needed a shower, a change of clothes and a strong coffee. I let Alena head in first, and she went straight to the window. Her entire face lit up when her eyes fell on the view. 

“Oh, wow! It is beautiful,” She gushed. 

I made my way over to her, slipping my arms around her from behind and opening the door to the balcony, the two of us stepping outside. 

“This is incredible,” She said, looking over her shoulder at me. 

I moved from behind her and stood next to her. I wrapped my arm around her waist and pulled her closer to me. I grabbed my phone, snapping a photo of us, and then we turned our back to get a picture with the tower behind us, and the last one was my one of my favourites, us kissing. 

We enjoyed the view for a while before heading in to get a quick shower, and head out for a bit. I had some interview to do tonight, and then the workday starts at six a.m. tomorrow. It was non-stop from there on out.

Alena and I were taking a walk along the canal, coffee and pastry in hand. 

“We need to come back here sometime, for a vacation,” She said, “Because I am sure there is a lot of this beautiful city I have not seen,” She added. 

“That we can do, my love,” I said, “And we can see all of this beautiful place since I have never really seen all of it either,” I added. 

I would take her anywhere she wanted. I would do anything for her. Maybe the next time we come our time here will end differently, but we will wait and see. It depends if I haven’t messed it all up by then, anyway. No, Ryker, stop thinking like that. I need to get out of my head sometimes. 

“As much as I am loving seeing this beautiful place, we should head back because I know you need to get ready,” She said, pouting at me. 

“I know, sweetheart, but when I get back, we order room service, a movie and make love for a few hours before we go to sleep,” I said, pressing my lips to her pouty ones. 

“Mmm, yes please,” She moaned into my lips. 

Alena never had to come with me; there was only a couple of us that needed to go. Plus, it gave her some time to relax, she deserves with how hard she works and everything that has been going on. 

“Let’s go, my sexy girl,” I said, stealing a quick grab of her ass before we headed back. 

“Are you sure you don’t want me to come with you?” She asked softly. 

“Honestly, baby girl, I just want you to relax,” I said. 

“OK. I will order some wine, strawberries with chocolate, and find some chick flick to watch,” She said. 

“Mmm, chocolate strawberries?” I smirked, “Make sure you keep some for me,” I added. 

“I will think about it,” Alena giggled. 

We got back to our room, and I had time to steal a kiss, and a cuddle before I had to head back out of the door. 

“I love you, and I will be back in a couple of hours,” I said. 

“I love you too, handsome,” She cooed at me. 

I sighed, heading for the door. It would be strange being away from her for a couple of hours because we spend all our time together. It would give her a break from me. I went to Natalie’s room, knocking, and she was soon coming out. 

“How are you doing, Ryker?” She smiled. 

“I am alright,” I said, “But I want to go get these interviews done and then get back to my girl,” I added. 

“Well then, we better get going so you can get back to her,” She smiled. 

Alena was my safe place, it doesn’t matter where I was, it only mattered she was next to me, and I felt safe. Who knew I would ever need someone like this, but I was alright with that.
