Dianne's story part 2

1763 Words
Breaking free Dianne My world changed after I met Noelle. She told me unbelievable things, yet I still believed everything she said. There was something in her presence that gave me hope. I felt like she didn’t belong in my world, but also that I didn’t really belong there either. When she touched her belly, I really understood that my life was over. As much as it hurt, I had to accept that I f****d up my only chance with Atlas. Anger raged in my heart, where an hour ago there was still infinite happiness. I wanted to know who ruined my life. Why had I to die so brutally at the hands of my love? I had to find out, I didn't have anything to lose anymore. I walked to Atlas as I did and my heart clenched when I saw him smiling at me wholeheartedly. He held my hands saying that he couldn't believe that I was his mate, but my eyes got fixed on the guy behind him. He was tall, handsome, with black hair and black eyes. I swallowed visibly because this time was different. I didn't feel any pulling towards Atlas, but neither towards the unknown guy. On the other hand, there was a dark power radiating from him that sent a shiver down my spine. The black-haired man's eyebrows ran up and he took a step in my direction. Atlas's eyes blackened and his smile distorted as he whispered. - Where, where? -he wasn't the Atlas I loved so much. I forced a smile on my face but Atlas disappeared and the guy behind him took his place. He laughed while his hands caused me pain. - Interesting. You have been here for a year already and now is when you are having an awakening? - he asked and I became totally confused. I tried to escape from his hold but all my intentions were useless. I wanted to scream but the voice didn't leave my throat. He turned me around and I saw myself being f****d by him in the middle of the forest. I got disgusted by myself when I moaned with pleasure and whispered to his ears. - We can't let him find this out. - that moment Atlas stormed to us. His eyes were filled with sadness and disappointment. I tried to scream harder to call his attention but this demon was holding me and forcing me to watch how my miserable life ended. Atlas growled in pain and his eyes turned pitch black. First, he ripped the guy's head off, and the version of him who was now holding me said. - That hurt a lot. - I wanted to bite his hand but my mouth felt like it had been sealed. I searched for Noelle with my eyes. She promised me that she will help me, but I was left alone. I felt miserable, disappointed and lost until I felt my kidnapper's hold loosening. I managed to get out of his hands, I turned around to see Noelle holding him on a choking hold. His skin got paler and before he fainted he mumbled. - This is impossible... - he lost his consciousness and Noelle nodded in the direction of Atlas. I followed her glance. There was the man of my dreams, kneeling on the ground, holding my head on his lap and caressing my hair. His eyes were filled with tears. I sneaked closer to him and heard how she whispered to my now dead body. - My sweet, innocent Dianne... Why did you do this to me? I would've gave you the world... I'm sorry Angel. - he said and with his bloody hands he closed my eyes. I felt my throat tighten and tears filled my eyes. I turned my attention back on the unconscious man and shifted to kill him. I didn't care about the reason anymore I wanted revenge. Revenge for my life taken away from me and revenge for my beloved Atlas's pain! Before I could've attack him Noelle pulled the guy out of my way. I snarled at her and asked trough my link. - Why are you protecting him?! - she shook her head and her voice sounded dangerously beautiful in my mind. - If you kill him now you will stay here in Hell! In a neverending loop, so calm the f**k down and let's go before he gets back his consciousness! - she said and I shifted back immediately. I wanted revenge, but the image of still living here tighten down by my own sense of guilt for something I didn't do by my own will, sent a shiver down my spine. I shifted back into my human form and Noelle gave me her long jacker to cover myself up. We walked deeper into the forest and she took her belt off to tie the guy with it. He was still unconscious and Noelle growled impatiently. She slapped him so gard that even my ears rang, but her tactics were effective because he immediately woke up sending an angry glare at Noelle. - What the f**k is going on?! - he asked when he noticed that he was being tied down. - I have no idea who you are but I'm assigned to her! So I would thank if you let me do my job b***h! - Noelle’s eyes turned blood red and she transformed into a creature I've only heard about in the tales of the elders. Noelle had sharp fox ears, she kept her human face and figure, but at the end of her hands long claws were grown. She had eight tails and I remembered what the elders told us. "A kitsune gets more and more tails with her power increasing. Throughout the history of our world only one of their kind managed to get ten tails. She was called Inari and she became the Goddess of Kitsune. This goddess is the symbol of fertility, power, and immortality." I felt amazed by her presence even more now and the man who was behind all my pain trembled with fear. - You are not a Demon... - he said and Noelle smirked at him, grabbing his t-shirt by its neckline. - No, I'm something worse. Now it is my turn to make questions and you will answer them. Noelle said and sat in front of the Demon. - So, why did you tricked her into cheating her destined mate? - Noelle asked but he remained silent. She then grabbed his knee and twisted it. The sound of the Demon's scream and his cracking bones turned my stomach upside down. Noelle sighed and repeated her question, she didn't get an answer thia time either so the Demon said goodbye to his other knee. He was crying in pain but his mouth was shut. Noelle sighed and said. - Remember that you chose this way. - she looked deeply into the Demon's eyes and those widened. I had no idea what Noelle did but he started to tremble and tears filled his eyes. The Demon struggled to escape but he couldn't turn his head away just like I couldn't open my mouth or move while he forced me to watch how Atlas killed me. Finally after a few minutes he shouted. -Stop! It was Hecate! She ordered me to make this she-wolf fall for me! - Noelle’s mouth curved to a smile, however I had no idea who Hecate was, she seemed to be satisfied with answer. - And why? - she asked and he begged her with his eyes. Noelle let him look away and he started to get back his colors. He took a deep breath like he just came to the surface after spending long minutes underwater. I didn't know how powerful Noelle was, but in one thing I was sure. It is good to be on her good side. - She is going to kill me if I tell you. - he said and his voice broke. Noelle leaned closer to him and asked. -What makes you believe that the death she offers is better than the one I have for you? - he swallowed visibly and I couldn't resist anymore. I knew that he was the reason my life went down fall, but I felt sorry for him. Noelle lifted her hand and I jumped in front of it before she could snap his neck. -Please don't! - I screamed and she smiled at me. I started to sparkle and slowly dissolve. - What is happening to me?! - I asked but I didn't feel fear. It was a feeling similar to be in my mother's arms again. Noelle nodded and whispered. - You are going home. Please tell Atlas, that I'm coming for him. - I nodded and closed my eyes. The next moment when I opened them I found myself in a glorious field. I looked around and a gorgeous woman walked to me, she didn't need to introduce herself. I fell to my knees and bowed. - My Goddess! - I greeted her and felt her gentle touch under my chin. She lifted my head and looked into my eyes. -Welcome home darling. We have been waiting for you. If I'm not wrong, you still have something to do. - she said and winked. I heard then a familiar voice which was music to my ears. - Dianne? - I looked at him and he was as handsome as the last time I saw him. I ran to Atlas and he embraced me inti his arms, but I didn't feel the bond anymore. A single tear ran down my cheek when I accepted that he doesn't belong to me anymore. I smiled at him and he swipe off my tear. - She saved me Atlas and she is coming for you. - I said and saw how his face lightened up. That smile I adored and now understood that it was reserved only for his mate showed on his face and it made my hear clench a little. - Thank you Dianne and I'm sorry for what happened. - he said and with those words he liberated me. - Congrats on your pup Atlas and your mate is truly amazing. - I said and walked away. He wasn't mine and that was right by thia way. I was finally where I had to be and I could thank that for a rare and really strong woman. - Good luck Noelle. - I whispered.
