The Alpha King's Queen

-Chapter 4 -

CHAPTER 4

-I miss you like the moon missing its stars on stormy night-

A man entered, his intoxicating smell lingered in my nose, strong and pure. He's tall and has a muscular frame, tan skin, and chiseled jaw; the definition of perfection. His brows suit him perfectly. His hair is the same color as mine, hazel brown. His nose was great and had remarkable posture. I met his gaze; his eyes are colored scarlet, the highest color, the most dominant and the rarest. I never in my life encountered a rank higher than myself and fathers. His aura made me admit that it was too powerful. These weird feelings for our first meeting are not a good sign and that makes him dangerous. I think I saw him before somewhere but I can't remember. His plump, pinkish lips curled into a smile as he looked at me with his eyes that seemed to pierce through my soul. There is absolutely no doubt that he is a true beauty, never have I ever met someone as handsome as he is.

       I remained silent while giving my father the look that he doesn’t want. The atmosphere is so awkward to speak and I have no authority to break it. As I can see, there are two Kings inside this room. Trying to interfere is not a good choice.

"Alpha Gabriel, Welcome to my Kingdom Vena." My father said and shook his hand before bowing his head, "Please take a seat." he added. I don’t like it. Father who is respected above all is under this ‘King’?

"Alpha, she's my second daughter Allyha. She turned eighteen today” Father introduced me and bowed my head and the man smiled. 

I don’t know what is happening but everything that he is doing makes my heart flutter. I tried to conceal my burning cheeks as he gently held my hand before speaking his name. “Princess, I am Gabriel Schinizel William Zoldyck. nice to finally meet you properly, Princess Allyha. You have no idea how I waited for this day to come." he said and moved closer as I inhaled his minty breath before his lips touched the back of my hand for a kiss.

He faced me and I immediately straightened my posture, "The pleasure is all mine," I barely whisper. I can swear that this is very embarrassing.

"Happy Birthday to you, Allyah." He said and kissed my hand again.

"Thank you," I said before pulling my hand off of his.

My Father excused himself after Gabriel talked to him. The party is still going on and I need to be there. When I tried excusing myself this King refused.

"Would you like to take a walk outside with me? I'm sure the night will keep us company. The party will still go on because of Alexander." He told me. I chuckled, that would be an amazing idea but my father will not allow this for sure.

"I would love to but I am not allowed to go outside the castle. My father won't agree on this." I said and shook my head. This man has no idea how strict my Father is.

"Don't worry about your father; I will be in charge of your safety. Worry not, we're not leaving. We're just taking a walk. I assure you that as long as I am with you, there is no harm. I will protect you even if my life depends on it.” He said words that are enough to make me say ‘yes’. If something happened I will simply say that it was Gabriel’s fault and not mine.

One of the things that I do when I’m bored is walking outside during the night. It is dangerous but very relaxing. I fear that what father always said is true. Wolves that will devour me alive in the woods, wild birds that will carry me far, these are things that will kill me and make me stay inside but they failed. I always wanted to be out there and know something more to what I have now. The only thing that can conquer fear is curiosity.

Gabriel told father about his plan and he reluctantly abides. We headed outside and made sure that there’s no one who would see us.  This will be controversial, the King’s daughter heading outside with a random stranger. I walked slowly and Gabriel held my wrist to prevent me from getting lost. I am slightly embarrassed for being touched this much from a stranger, there is denying on that.

My glass shoes touched the cold green grass. The night breeze blew my hair across my shoulders and I closed my eyes to feel more. The moon shines bright tonight, the stars are twinkling and the moon illuminates the beauty of darkness. The forest trees sway as the relaxing wind blows, the sound of insects around us and I don’t have to hide myself. All of them are perfect. Gabriel inhaled deep and when he opened his eyes it was bright red. It’s glowing like the fireflies.

He held my hand and leaned closer to give it a gentle kiss again. “You look perfect.” He commented and I giggled.

"Gabriel, thank you for showing me this," I said and put my hands in the air and laughed. This seems childish but sometimes I wished to be like a commoner. I am free and living the life that I can. Giving efforts, earning my own money and no expectations to tell you what you have to become. Sometimes, I wished and sometimes I realized I cannot.

"Of course anything for you, Allyha." He smiled at me and it seemed genuine and pure despite his bloody red eyes that emit danger. His smile, to me, melts my heart. It was like magic, and I like it.

"My father told me about you but not everything of course. It bothers me more to know that you are the Alpha King. He said you have power and I can see that. Can I at least ask, why would you want me?”

"Allyha, there are millions of women out there but, only one caught my eyes and it's you, my Mate. You and I are destined to be together. I visited you once but, you seem to be very young and not ready.. As far as I can remember it's your older sister’s birthday. I saw you near the chocolate fountain, that's the first time I saw you and I am stunned truly of your beauty.” He said and bit his lower lip. I chuckled in disbelief. I caught his eye upon first sight? “I did not come all the way from my land and here to just see you Allyah. I came here to claim what is truly mine. I want you.”

“I-“

"Please I beg you my princess, hear me out on this. Choose me and that is not an option, it is an order. I want you to stand beside me and rule. Accept me and trust me. You belong with me as my Queen.” He told me and held my hand,

“Queen?”

“Will you marry me?”

I was frozen in the moment and I don't know what to say. This is so much for a proposal of marriage! Queen such as myself?! I never dreamed to be one. This will help the Kingdom grow because of his power. If the Alpha King will be my husband my Kingdom is safe. I can also have my freedom to go and travel away. I can finally travel and at the same time help my subjects and continue my responsibility as the Princess of Vena. The thing that makes me feel more to say yes is Gabriel. This man makes me feel I am safe and I trust him. The answer will be very obvious.
