Chapter 5

As soon as I walked in all eyes were on me, and knowing that every one of these people, well if not everyone but most knew my mother; I just had to brace myself to be pitied. As soon as Addy found his friends he ran off towards them.

“Lance…” someone called my uncle, we all turned and saw the former Alpha and his mate.

“OMG…” Luna looked at me and seeing her eyes water I knew what was coming.

“Little Zozo…is that really you?”

I nodded at her question and said “Hello aunt Petunia”

She opened her arms for a hug and I hugged her back.

“You look so beautiful…more beautiful than on video calls…” she said as she pulled away kissing my cheeks.

“Thank you…” I said as I looked at her mate.

“Hello, Alpha Jim…” I greeted and he nodded.

“Hello, child…how do you find Crimson Shadow Pack so far?”

“Well, I only have been inside the house haven’t toured the Pack, but Levi promised me a tour later tonight.”

“Good…that’s good!” he said and smiled at me. He and my uncle excused themselves and walked away.  

“So Zoe, have you found your mate yet?” Aunt Petunia asked as we walked to the buffet table.

“Not at all…and I am not yet-“my aunt interrupted as I was about to go on about not looking for him now.

“Well, her wolf detected a scent last night and we all know how those scent stories end!” my aunt Sheila told and wiggled her eyebrows, and aunt Petunia giggled…

“Ohhh, I hope he is here tonight so that we can both celebrate her joining the Pack and finding her mate.

“Mate???” I asked and they all looked at me.

My wolf being a busybody paid attention…

“Yes, child…you are now of age and your wolf needs her mate now!” Aunt Petunia said as she gave me a plate.

Just as I was about to receive it someone took it from me… I looked at the person only to find a girl who could be my age or older holding the plate.

“Luna Nia…or should I say future mother in law…” the girl said with a plastered smile that’s cracking her cheap makeup…

Okay…the last statement was mean!

Storm picked the scent coming from the girl and got closer to her...

‘Same scent as last night and when we got here…’

I moved a bit closer to the girl and she looked at me weird…”Agh…hellooo…new girl, a little space for your future Luna here please.”

“Ohhh sorry…didn’t mean to invade your space,” I told as I took the other plate and served myself something light to eat.

‘We should have kicked her ass for being rude to us…’ Storm said and I can feel her rage.

‘Easy warrior…what does dad always says?’

She sighed and said ‘Never solve problems with a fight!’

‘That’s good…and besides, if we take her heads on the poor thing won’t survive at all.’

‘I don’t care…I just need to find this scent as it’s driving me crazy…’

‘Yah…I know, you giving me a headache with it also.’

“Zozo…?” I heard my aunt call and noticed that I was having a conversation with my wolf and forgot about the two ladies that are with me.

“Ohhh sorry ladies…Storm was telling which food would she like to have tonight.” I said smiling at them.

“It’s Okay child…and sorry about that Sasha seems be way over her head. She is not this Pack’s future Luna at all.” Aunt Petunia said as we took our seats.

“No need to explain aunt…I understand!”

I gave her a smile and she returned it.

While waiting for the Alpha so that the ceremony can begin…a lot of people who knew my mother came to me and send their sympathies. All I could do was just smile and thank them.

“Will the ceremony start soon?” I asked and my aunt smiled and said…

“I just asked Levi he said that the Alpha will be here soon…they went for a run.”

“Lucky Levi…Storm has been wanting to have some release, but since she’s a newbie here she can’t just shift and take off.”

“Don’t worry…after tonight you will be able to do that…I will even personally ask Keith to take you for a tour around our Territory.” Aunt Petunia said and I just nodded.

Just as I was about to finish my food…Addy came and took me away from my aunts.  

Addy pulled me to his friends and introduced me to them… "Hello, guys…" I greet them as I take my seat on the table they were seated in. "Wow… Ad wasn't kidding when he said you are the most beautiful lady ever!" Awww… I blushed and bathed my lashes. "ncooow… Thank you, baby, what's your name?" He pulled his shirt collar and fixed it. "I'm Kevin…and I am Ad's best friend." I looked at my cousin and saw him rolling his eyes… "Hi Zoe, I am Rose…" said a cute blonde girl with doe eyes. The boys rolled their eyes at her and she and her friends did the same thing. "Hi, Rose…-" I was interrupted by someone behind me. "Wow… Princess is home!" I turned to face him and only to be met with Zack… I got up and hugged him… "Wow… Look who it is Z-" Just as I was about to finish my word I heard an ear-piercing growl… "Minnnnneeeee" Just as I was about to turn everything happened in slow motion as I see Zack flying and a huge black wolf leaps towards where Zack was and was about to attack him, Zack also shifted in a flash. I was so shocked that it took me a while to recover. My aunt came to my aid and hugged me. Just as I was about to calm down, Storm howled the one word I had never thought would come so soon after losing my parents. "Mateee" I looked towards the fighting wolves and that's when it clicked that the black wolf saw me hugging Zack. I got out of my aunt's embrace and walked towards the fighting wolves. My uncle stopped me and I shook my head. "No Zozo, no one can stop Amarok when he's like this…" Levi said and I just brushed him off and ran towards them. "Heyyyyyyy… Stop it this instant!" Zack's brown wolf bowed to me and retreated; the black wolf walked to me and took in my scent…
