Chapter Eight Miles and Myrtle, both eager to get on with it, immediately raised their hands. Louvenia, naturally, called on Miles first. Miles cleared his throat and looked around at the other students as he stood up. Louvenia closed her eyes as if she wanted to feel Miles’s words. “I didn’t know Chester very well. In fact, I really only knew him from his billboards around town. But he was certainly full of life. And memorable.” He sat down again quickly as his classmates clapped. “Myrtle?” prompted Louvenia. Myrtle stood. “It’s been a long time since I had seen Chester.
