Fitz wondered if what existed between him and Kristof Wyss at that moment could be referred to as a companionable silence. It didn"t exactly feel like he was being shut out. They were technically eating together, like buddies were supposed to do. And it wasn"t like there was a stack of books between them. No, there was just a single tablet propped up on the table in front of Wyss" plate. His pale blue eyes never stopped scanning it, not even to look down at whatever he was stabbing with his fork and shoving into his mouth.
