Hector POV (Eva's Father)

-Hi, I'm Lisa Watson nice to meet you.

Said the most beautiful human being I have ever seen in my life. God, I think I'm in love with her and I just met her.

-Hector Jones nice to meet you too, you are Oscar and Khatia's friend they talk a lot about you.

I said to her and she extends her hand to me and as soon as I grabbed it I felt a tingling in my hand that is running through my body.

-Yes, that's me and who would think that my mate would be a human.

Oh, she's a werewolf too.

-You're one of them too, wait you said, mate?

I ask her with wide eyes I know I didn't hear her right, I can't be her mate.

-Didn't you felt it? She asks taking a step back from me.

We were at Oscar and Khatia wedding party and I know the whole pack is here celebrating their Alpha and Luna Union, which they don't need to do but Khatia insisted on having a wedding she said it makes her feels more human. They already did a ritual with the pack introducing his new Luna.

Now you must be thinking how a simple human like me knows all of this, well my family and Oscar's family knows each other for centuries since Oscar's ancestor took the free territory and make it their home to the generations to come. Our ancestor makes a pact to always work together and respect each other worlds and it's always been this way, we keep their secret and they protect us from any harm, so is like a big family really.

Oscar and I know each other since forever, he's like the brother I didn't have, and I trust him with my life. He has always trusted me and I do too.

-Yes, I felt it, but how I thought mates could be only between werewolves. I said taking a step in towards her getting close to her.

-Is meant to be. She said with a spark in her green eyes and I swear she got me.

Present Day

After my conversation with Max, I thought about the day I met my lovely wife. It was the best thing that ever happens to me. She makes me so happy and I will always be thankful for the time we shared together, she gave me a beautiful daughter and a happy life. I miss her every day and I hope that Eva can be just as happy as I and Lisa were. Max is a great guy I just hope he doesn't break her heart, they are meant to be just as Lisa would say.

Eva POV

The next day an annoying headache woke me up and the delicious smell of bacon coming from downstairs. What a great combination ha. Last night was something else. Max told me the truth about him and his intentions towards me, now are up to me to believe him and take a decision about us.

Getting up I put on my black robe and go downstairs following the delicious smell god I love our chef Carlos, he knows how to wake up a girl. I found my father sitting by the island in the kitchen talking on the phone. Then I remember what Max told me about my father knowing about Max kind and I can't believe that he didn't tell me about them, I mean him, and Oscar been friends forever so what will he don't trust me to tell me something so serious like this. He finishes on the phone as soon as he sees me, I walk to Carlos and greet him and take a bottle of water out of the fridge. I sit by my dad and he's just watching me.

-Good morning father. I said to him and make a frowny face.

-Good Morning honey, how are you? He said smiling at me.

-I thought you trust me.

I said to him going straight to the point. His facial expression change from happy to worry in a matter of seconds.

-I do honey but it wasn't my place to tell you about them.

He said dismissing Carlos from the kitchen.

-Really because it seems like everybody knows but me, did mom knew?

I asked him taking a pill for my headache and sipping water.

-Your mother was one of them.

He said and I almost choke with the water.

-What, what do you mean mom was one of them? Does that mean that I'm one of them too?

I can't believe what I'm hearing like what the heck.

-Well is hard to explain, when you were born your mother thought you be a werewolf like her but as you were growing you didn't develop any of their abilities so we think you're not a werewolf. Oscar said it has happened before with human mates, is a 50% chance of being a werewolf or not.

-Woo, Dad and you wait 21 years to tell me about this other world that existed of which I am part of it. I just can't believe you guys didn't tell me like I was blind to all of this.

I said looking at him and I can't believe they kept this secret from me something so big as this.

-No wonder why Max said that you knew about their world.

-Our families have been together for centuries we work together and take care of each other for years, your mother and I thought about telling you when you turn 16 but then she died and I couldn't think straight back then so I forgot about it.

Woah, the fact that I have werewolf blood running through my veins is pretty shocking and cool too. I guess this makes me understand Max more and his world which mine is now too.

God, I need to see him, my body is craving his touch and the way he looks at me just melt my insides every time. I then go back to reality and the fact that my father is in front of me looking guilty because he didn't tell me the truth about my mother and where I come from.

-Is ok daddy I mean I know now so it doesn't matter.

I said hugging him, I love him and I don't want him to feel guilty about it.

-But you have to promise me no more secrets ok.

-Yes, darling, I'm so sorry I kept this from you but I'm happy you know now, so how was dinner with Max?

-He shifts in front of me and I couldn't believe it.

-Were you scared?

He said relaxing a little bit and letting me go.

-Not really I was just surprised I wasn't expecting it.

I said sitting back and drinking more water.

-Well now that you know, what are you going to do with Max, I mean being mates means that you guys are meant to be and are supposed to be together.

He said I think about what Max exacts the same words.

-Is that what happened with mom and you?

-Yes honey we met at Max's parents wedding and we were together since, my connection with your mother was instantly and I'm not going to lie it was intense at first because of her being a werewolf she could hardly control herself but it was amazing, she made me the happiest man on earth and I hope you can be as happy as we were.

-Too much information dad but thank you and I will think about Max and Me.

I said standing from the chair and kissing in the check.

-I'm going to take a shower.

I said starting to walk

-Oh, we have a barbecue to attend is at Max house.

My dad said and I stop right in my tracks.

-Do I have to go?

I ask him and nods his head.

-I have to see Angie today, I'll go after our meeting.

-That's ok, the car will be waiting for you outside I have to run some errands, I'll meet you there.

He said getting up and heading out the door. Oh my, well this should be interesting.
