“To find my cousin who is missing.” Not until now had I thought of his father's reaction last night when he found me gone. With the door locked from the outside and no windows, I could almost imagine what he must have gone through when he stepped into the empty room. I smiled inwardly. The rattle of a wagon caught our attention before I had to explain how I had escaped that locked room. A large wooden wagon with solid wooden wheels pulled by two sturdy oxen lumbered up. I squinted at it. One man drove the oxen while two more men rode inside the deep compartment.
