Dakota’s POV We rode back to the college in silence, I could feel that Declan was drained from our confessions, in truth so was I. He pulled up outside my dorm, tapping his fingers nervously on the steering wheel as I gathered my jacket that I had draped over my lap and my bag from the foot well. Clearing my throat, I peeked over at him, feeling a little dejected that he was staring straight ahead, avoiding my gaze, ‘um, thank you’ I murmured softly, ‘for the day out, I enjoyed being with you.’ Declan nodded, keeping silent and after a moment I sighed and pulled on the handle, opening the door wide so that I could climb out easily.
