Maia's POV
My girlfriend Alexa and I just spend the better part of the morning together. We left the packhouse together at eight, went to college to attend a class together. And now we are seated together on a table outside our favorite café.
We only had one class today, and so after it was over, we came to the cafe for some midmorning milkshakes.
The sun is out, up in the sky. It's glaring, but it's also gentle since it's still before noon. It's shinning down on us, where we are seated outside the Cafe's entrance. Warming my skin, and making me feel so alive this morning.
Ron's car, well it's technically our car now, just like the pickup truck is also our car now. It's parked on the street outside the Cafe, a short distance away from us, and I can see it from where I'm seated.
