Mr. Mate

CHAPTER 6

Zack's P.O.V

I went to the office a little early. Of course even though we had a little misunderstanding I was still dying to see her face. I went to the kitchenette to see if she was there. I was right but she was with someone a He. They were laughing together. They seemed happy and comfortable with each other. My wolf growled with jealousy wanting to carry his mate and take her all to himself.

"Why is our mate with him?!?" My wolf said.

"I don't like him near our mate" He complained.

"Well do you think I like him near her too?" I asked.

"No but do something!" He complained.

Then I saw them hugged and I saw that guy kissed her forehead and that was my breaking point. I rushed to them fuming mad.

"I'm gonna rip him apart." He said.

"Let me out!" He demanded.

"No I can handle this." I said

"No I need to rip him apart. I need to take my mate away from him." He insisted.

"No we can't take that risk of someone finding out." I said.

I can't risk my safety especially my mate's safety.

"Ehem!" I interrupted.

They were about to greet me when I interrupted again. My wolf still wants me to tear that guy's body apart. He dares to kiss my mate.

"I don't pay you to have little chitchats. If you want to have that chitchats of yours go home! and never come back here this serves as a warning to you. Get back to work!" I said looking at that guy who kissed my mate.

"That guy is so on top of my kill list. Do that again and I swear I'll pull that lip." My wolf said.

"Sanitize her forehead. I don't want to smell any other guys stink on my mate!" My wolf complained.

"I don't like it either." I agreed.

The guy immediately left.

"And I don't pay you for flirting and bitching around the office! Get back to work!" I yelled.

She was lowered her head down.

"Why did you yell at my mate?!?!?" He yelled while growling.

"And you called her a b*tch and a flirt!!!" He yelled.

"Great Job. I thought the goal was to woo her not to push her away." 

Oh God! I'm so stupid. I was about to apologize but...

"Excuse me sir I have to go to the restroom" She said.

I saw her face. She was crying...I made her cry...I felt a pang in my chest...she is crying.

"You are an i***t! If this is how you handle taking care of mate then it's better if she will just be mine not ours!" He yelled.

My wolf was furious he kept on growling and 

"Grrrr...such an i***t!!!! an effin i***t!" He yelled.

"I'm sorry." I said.

"Don't apologize to me! Apologize to mate! I can't believe your an alpha." He said.

I went down and tried to find her.

"Excuse me sir" He said as he got my attention.

This guy was the one that kissed her.

"The things that you said to her were not true. She was my friend plus we were just talking she comforted me because I was giving up on courting the girl I like which is carol not her. She takes her job seriously. I talk to her often I know how she loves her job but in what you said to her she might let this job go. You can fire me if you think I'm wrong and she wanted me to tell you she went home already." He explained.

"I'm sorry about what I said." I apologized.

"Don't apologize to me because those were true but the things you said to her were definitely wrong." He pointed out .

"You're right...?" I said.

"Alex." He said.

Zack's P.O.V

I messed up hard...I don't know what to do. I can still feel that pang of hurt in my chest that means she's still crying. I feel so useless what kind of mate am I? I can't believe I said that to her. I let my emotions get the best of me now I've messed up.

I need some help. I called my Dad.

"Son..." My dad answered.

"Do you need something? Is it about work? You could always ask Samantha. I'm sure she would be more than willing to help you out." He said.

"I-i insulted my mate hard...i-i d-didn't mean too"I said.

"What?" He asked..

"Son I'm disappointed of what you did but I'm sure your wolf is very extremely mad at you. So I won't roast you anymore" He said.

"Yeah pretty much." I said.

"Grrrrrr dang right your an i***t!" My wolf said.

"He's growling at me right now"I said.

"You bet I am." He said.

"If your not gonna fix this I will definitely shut you out." He growled.

"What?!?!?!" I said.

"What's wrong son?" My dad asked.

"My wolf said if I don't fix this she will shut me out"I said.

"You better do something son before it's too late"he said.

"I'm not gonna let that happen dad." I said.

"You better not son...wait I still don't know who she is." He said.

"Her name is Samantha." I said smiling.

"Wait?!?! Samantha?!??  My secretary?!? Woah! son you got yourself a keeper!!"he said.

"I know dad." I said smiling.

Samantha's P.O.V

I ran outside and hailed a cab as usual, though I can't help but cry. There was a pain in my chest and I don't know why but it made me kept on crying and crying. When I arrived home I took a shower and just went straight to bed. I really wasn't in the mood to eat anything. I just wanted to get some shut eye.

*morning*

I immediately fixed myself up. I went straight to the mirror my eyes were puffy and red. I decided to put on some make up to hide it.

"Good Morning." Carol greeted as she beamed at me.

"Morning has Mr.Fenner arrived?" I asked.

"Yes he arrived a while ago." She replied handing my files over.

"Okay thanks."I said.

I went up to my office and quickly arranged the files he needed for today. I knocked on his door and waited for his reply.

"Come in"he said

"Good Morning Sir here are the files you need for your meeting and the files that you need to sign. If you need anything just call me in the intercom and I'll respond right away. "I said coldly not looking at him.

I headed off to the door.

"Wait Sam!"  He said.

"Do you need anything else Sir." I asked monotonous.

"I'm sorry about what I said yesterday" He said.

"No problem Sir. It was very wrong of me to flirt and b***h around. I won't let it happen again and again my apologies towards my behavior yesterday." I said coldly.

"No no no that's not true!"he said.

"Again call me if you need anything Sir. I'll just be at my desk. If not I may be visiting the department heads for the reports." I said then left.

I went to my desk and sort the schedules out.

*riing riing*

"Hello, Fenner Corp.,Samantha Collins speaking." I said.

"Hey there cutie. How's your day going?"

It was a guy's voice.

"Whose this?" I asked.

"Awww...cutie doesn't remember me again?" He asked.

Wait...doesn't remember me again? Was this the investor guy the other day?

"Tony?"I asked.

"That's it! finally!" He said.

"what do you need?"I asked.

"I'm having a feeling your upset"he said.

"and?"I said.

"So...I'm right here in front of you"he said.

He was in front of me holding a bouquet of flowers.

"Woah!"

How come I didn't noticed him? Was he standing there all along?

"How did you get here"I asked.

"Through the door?"he said.

"hahaha very funny what do you need?"I asked.

"I wanted to see you" he said while giving me puppy eyes.
