The piece of paper swooshes as the clinic’s doctor holds it in front of her face, explaining things my brain barely comprehends. I keep nodding everytime she opens her mouth, pretending that I fully understand what she’s saying. Before giving the prescription slip to me, she also takes a tablet from the glass cabinet behind her and puts it inside a plastic pouch then coils the paper around it. “Here,” she says, extending her hands to me. “Thank you,” I whisper. After taking the prescription slip and medicine from her, I step outside and weakly shut the door. My feet drag me to the pantry where I fill a cup with water then put the tablet in my mouth and let the water flushes it down to my stomach. Then I uncoil the piece of paper and smirk when my eyes catch the instruction ‘take the med
