Chapter 28: You Need Rest. Doctor's Orders

It's been a five days since me and Rudra cleared the air about our relationship and I feel the weight has been lifted. My injuries are healing a lot better now as I've started eating and drinking blood regularly but the doctor said still long road ahead until I've full recover. She hopes it will be within a month; until then I've been strongly advised that I should take it easy. Rudra took it seriously and made sure that I'll do. Don't get me wrong, Rudra has been a huge help with my recovery but his like a mother hen. Always follow me around and watching every move. I can't even do my business while he there watching me. I told him he didn't need to do that but he says he need to make sure he's there if I need help.
Today Rudra is helping me stretch my limbs, with the doctor supervision, due to being in bed most of the time.
"You're improving every well, Rani. Better since I last saw you" the doctor praised.
"Thanks doc. I couldn't done it without your help" I replied greatfully. Rudra huffed.
"What about me? I helped too" Rudra whined. I rolled my eyes and the doctor was trying to hide her laugh to his childish behaviour.
"Yes, I couldn't of improve without your help too" I agreed. Stepping on my tippy toes to give him a kiss on the cheek. He grinned.
"But don't over do it, even though the poison is fully out of your system, you still need to heal. Your body is still weak from it so I suggest you still take it easy" the doctor said sternly.
"I'll make sure she does" Rudra replied obediently before I could respond.
"Kiss ass" I grumbled. I yelped when I felt a pinch to my side.
"Ouch! That hurts Swamp beast. What was that for?" I asked.
"You know what was that for and suggest you watch your mouth" he warned.
"But you are a kiss ass" I mumbled. Rudra squint his eyes at me.
"What was that?" He asked suspiciously. Daring me to repeat myself.
"Nothing. Just saying how I appreciate your help with my recovery" I quickly said. He smirked and gave kiss on the forehead, my eyes lids, my nose and both sides of my cheeks. He's kisses was ticklish which made giggled. The doctor cleared her throat.
"I think this is my time to go. There is no need for to check up on ofter now but will ask for you to do a check up every week to see how's your recovery is doing" she stated. I nodded.
"Thank you doctor" Rudra replied.
"No need to thank me, prince Rudra, it's my job and call me Honey as we see each other most of the time" she said politely. Laughing in the process,
"Thanks Honey" I replied kindly. She gave me a warm smile.
"I'll take my leave now. Remember take it easy and don't forget to eat and drink regularly" she sternly said.
"Don't worry Honey, she will" Rudra assured her. Kiss ass. Honey bowed and left the room. I headed to the bathroom to do my business. Rudra rushed beside me and picked me up.
"What the hell, Rudra? Put me down" I demanded.
"Where are you going?"
"To the bathroom, where else?" Looking at him like he's crazy.
"I'll carry you there" he suggested.
"I don't need to be carried. I'm more than capable of walking to the bathroom" I hissed.
"You heard what the doctor said. You need to take it easy"
"Yes easy, not you doing everything for me. I'm not a baby so put me down" getting annoyed. Rudra just ignored me and took me to the bathroom. I did my business as he watched me, to my dismay. Once I've finished, I washed my hands and Rudra picked me up and put on my bed, tucking me in, the duvet covering the waist down. I'm getting tired being in the room everyday. I need fresh air.
"Rudra can go outside? I'm tired of looking at the same four walls everyday. Please?" I asked sweetly.
"No, you need rest" he stated.
"I don't need rest. I had a enough of that. What I need is fresh air" I reasoned with him.
"No"
"Please? please, please, please, please" I begged.
"No" he repeated.
"Why not? I'm going crazy being coop up in here" I said annoyed now.
"You need rest. I don't want you get too tired" he said sternly.
"But I don't need it. I want to go out. please swamp beast" I whined. sounding like a child now.
"No" he repeated again
"please, please, please. I'm literally going insane and it's your fault. You'remaking me go crazy. Do you want me to go crazy? cause if you then you'remakinga good job doing it" I snapped at him. He wasn't fazed by it.
"No" he said but now getting annoyed with my behaviour. However, I didn't care, I just want to leave this damn room.
"Pretty please with a cherry on top" I asked, battling my eyelashes at him and pouting fir goodmeasure. He wasn't mused with that and just ignored me.
"No. Are you hungry? You need to eat" he asked instead.
"No" I huffed out but right on queue, that's when my stomach betrayed me and grumbled. Stupid stomach. Rudra chuckled.
"How about this. Why don't we go to the garden and eat there? How does that sound?" He bargained. I squealed and clapped my hands in excitement.
"I take that as a yes then?" He mused. Shaking his head.
"Yes yes yes" I said with glee. Rudra laughed at my excitement. Who would of thought I'll be excited to go to the garden? I have been cooped up in a room for a while now. I would even be happy just go to the hallway as long as I can leave this room. I'm just glad that I'm getting some fresh air for once. I was going insane staying in this room.
