I checked out of the damn hospital as soon as I came to. The nurse was all flustered and trying to get me to stay but I had more pressing matters to deal with. The doc had already stitched up my split cheek and I wasn't bleeding anymore. They made me sign a bunch of papers saying I understood I was leaving against medical advice and then I was free. I didn't know what the hell happened to Kit'lin. I told Lorenzo I wanted her to be mine and he had beat the s**t out of me. The last thing I remembered was him telling me to leave 'his city' before he stalked over to her. She looked so scared, her eyes wide as she looked at me and her hand covering her mouth to stop herself from screaming.
