Emma let Delilah cry .
“Just let it out .” Emma comforted her . Delilah kept on crying , a light yelp escaping her lips as she trembled . Her whole body was shaking of fear , her eyes squint shut as if it would all go away afterwards when she opened her eyes .
It felt as if her life was never going to work out , she’d always be trapped in between the Keller’s — if not Seth , then his parents .
‘ Why me ?’ Kept running through her mind as she sobbed .
“What is going on ?” Emma asks as Delilah’s trembling body calmed down and her sobs started to fade .
Delilah only shook her head and Emma sighed in frustration , wondering why Delilah wouldn’t share with her .
“I can’t .” She muttered between sniffs .
“Why not ?” Emma asks , her voice filled with concern .
