Chase walked into the waiting room and took a seat next to Emma , her knee was bouncing up and down as she waited for news , any news .
“Hey , it’s going to be alright .” Chase tried to reassure Emma , holding her trembling hands .
“I knew I should’ve gone to pick her up .” Emma muttered as guilt crept up her spine .
“Emma .” Chase sighed in a pity tone .
“This isn’t your fault .” Chase told her , seeing the guilt eating her up from the inside .
“We aren’t that close , but I got her that job and what if she doesn’t make it ? It’ll be all my fault .” Emma stared blankly into the hall , waiting for any doctor to come out and tell her that Delilah would be okay , but all she did was wait .
