Chapter 7

Kegan stood from Jasper's lap when he tapped her thighs and looked up at him. "Come." He snapped his fingers walking in front of her. She followed him obediently until they reached his playroom. She gasped in excitement. "Are we going to play a game?" "Patience." He demanded and sat her in a chair. She looked skeptically at it, it was in the middle of the room in front of another. "What are we doing?" Jasper grabbed her jaw tightly forcing her to look up. "What did I say?" She looked into his eyes until he finally let her go and tied her hands behind her back with a rope line hanging on the wall. They had a lot of weapons in here, it excited her. "Scared I'll do something?" She asked grinning and he tightened the rope. "I want you to do something." She was going to say something but the metal door opened and Luke walked in behind some blindfolded man. "Is that my toy?" "It is." She watched him sit in the chair and have his hands and feet tied to the chair. Luke walked in front of her and grinned sadistically. "Do you want to play a game?" "Always." She followed his every moment as he walked over to their many tables pressed against the wall and picked up a knife. "You're going to kill him." "I will." She nodded quickly. "With this." She seemed a bit more hesitant. "Why not a gun?" "You always use a gun, love." He lightly ran the handle of the knife over her cheek. "There's nothing fun about it, it's one shot and it's over." "But-" "Don't you want to feel the tip slicing through his skin? Tearing apart his organs, killing? Don't you want to be the cause of his death and not some bullet?" She chewed on her bottom lip. "You want me to torture him." "Precisely." "Can I hold it?" He ran it over her lip and she looked up at him. "Ask me properly, love." "Please." "Properly." "May I please hold it?" "No." This made her temper instantly rise, she always got set off over the little things. Jasper chuckled when she tried standing up but the binds held her down. "Give it to me." "Come get it." "Luke." She glared at him menacingly as he walked a circle around her. "Do you want it?" "Give it to me." She seethed. "Kegan," He said quietly. "Why do you really want the knife?" "I'm going to f*****g kill you!" He chuckled standing in front of her. "Somebody did not take their pills like I told them to." She tried getting up again but Jasper held the chair down with his foot. He was sitting down casually watching her. "You're going to hell." "Sweetheart," He started in a pitiful way. "You and I are both already there." Luke put his hands on the armrests and she tried jerking forward but was once again held back. He breathed out a smile at her angered expression. "You get set off by the littlest things. It amuses me." "f**k you." "Later." "Why tie me up? Scared I'll actually try something." "I know you will but that's quite alright. I like to see you happy one moment and angry the next." "Give me the knife." He handed the knife to Jasper and he cut her binds off. She held her hands up to harm him but he easily caught them. "As much as I love your affection you need to calm down." Her jaw clenched and he pressed her back against the chair. "Calm down." Luke moved his face close to her and she glared into his eyes. "I'm going to let you go and give you this knife." Her lips twitched for a few seconds before she started laughing. "I'm going to f*****g kill you." Her back arched when her head tilted up. Luke patted her cheek twice forcefully to grab her attention, not in a harmful way. "You see that," He grabbed her chin making her look at the man. "That's your toy. I am not and will never be your toy." "Give me the knife." "I'm going to make you a promise." "I don't like your promises. You never keep them." "I promise if you even touch me with that knife I will torture you till you're on the brink of death but I will not kill you." "You already have." She stated trying to stand up. He patted her cheek again. "Do you understand?" "f**k you." "Kegan." He growled and she grinned at his annoyed expression. "Yes sir." Finally letting her go Jasper gave her the knife and she looked like she just opened her first present on Christmas Day. She took a step towards him and he gave her a look. "I dare you." "I'm just kidding Jasper," She giggled doing a little twirl. "Lighten up." He stood up and grabbed her hand with the knife in it. "One kill then you're going to put it on the table." "Just one kill?" She pouted. "Kegan." He glared down at her and she bit her lip hiding a smile. "Okay okay. Can I have a kiss?" He didn't even think before grabbing her hips and jerked her to him. She giggled against his lips and wrapped one arm around her neck. He caught her hand before it could touch his chest and continued kissing her like she didn't try to kill him. Jasper pulled back and she tried to look innocent. "You're a psychotic little thing, you know that?" She only pecked his lips before twirling back around. Resting her hands on her hips she stalked towards the man. "Can I take his blindfold off?" "Ask properly." "Please." She exaggerated dramatically. "Mhmm." She tore the flimsy piece of cloth off and his eyes snapped to hers, alarmed. "Kegan," Jasper called softly and she looked at him in question. "Before you do torture him I do want you to know he has two daughters." "He what?" "Has children, a family, dog and bunny. The whole shebang." "He has children?" "Two daughters, three and five." The man swallowed thickly as his eyes flickered from the two of them. Luke was watching them twirling a different knife on the table. "It must be hard," He sighed sympathetically. "A single father too." "What?" The man and her both asked at the same time. "What happened to my wife? What did you do?!" "Go ahead, sweetheart." He ushered quietly. She looked down at the knife in her hand before looking into the man's glossy eyes. "Please," He begged. "They don't have anyone else." "Ignore him Kegan." "I'm begging you, I'll do anything." "It's a game to him. He has nothing to offer." "Please! They're only children." She pressed the knife against his wrist and looked at what she was doing. She felt more human, more connected to what she was doing. "What are their names?" "Adeline and Abby." "Your wife? What was her name?" He desperately tried to ignore the 'was'. "Annie." "Does your name happen to start with an A?" "Aaron." "Cute." She mumbled softly at their pattern. Sighing she tried pressing the tip into his wrist. Luke pushed himself away from the table and stalked over to them. Her eyes slowly went up to him as he stood behind the man's chair. "You're not going to do it." "I am." "Please." The man begged desperately. "You don't want to." Luke stated. Kegan tried to say something but too many things were clouding her mind. "You're scared." "He has children Luke." "Love," He muttered quietly. "At least half the people you've killed we're parents. Had a family that were depending on them, something." "I didn't know that!" "And now you do." "I don't want to know!" "You think they all just live alone? Have no purpose in life? You honestly can't believe that." "I want to." "Kill him." He demanded stepping back. She tried, she wanted to kill but no matter how hard she tired to convince herself she couldn't. "I can't." He stepped behind her and she instinctively tensed. "Tell me why you kill the people you do." "Because I like to." Jasper chuckled darkly from where he stood. "Why do you really Kegan?" "Because it makes me happy." "We're serial killers and you think we believe that?" "I want to be like you." She finally admitted. Jasper toyed with the rope in his hands. "I do believe you but why do you truly kill those people?" "To make you happy." "You want our approval." Luke stated and placed his hand over the one clutching the knife. He slowly applied pressure and the man winced. "Please don't." She whispered weakly and he stopped. "Do you like killing those people?" "Yes." "For me?" "For both of you." Luke kissed the side of her neck and she closed her eyes. "You're not going to kill him." "No." "Give me the knife." She clutched onto it tightly and thought about all her options. He waited patiently with his hand over hers. She slowly turned her palm over and he grasped it. "Why did you ask me to?" "I knew you wouldn't." "Why have me try?" She asked quietly. He moved her hair back over neck and walked over to the table placing the knife down. "We wanted to see how much you wanted our approval." "I didn't get it?" "No." Jasper gave a small smile. "I did enjoy seeing you fight with yourself over the decision though." He walked over to the man and started undoing the binds. "Your babysitter left half an hour ago leaving you a note she had to leave. Your girls are sleeping thinking you're home. They'll know that for rest of their lives, and they'll be okay. If someone somehow finds about this I can assure you your wife won't be the only one not coming home." The man nodded quickly and stood up and when Jasper grabbed him. "There's a door over there. Use it." Jasper turned around dismissively and the man quickly ran towards it. Kegan's eyes lingered on the usually locked door and watched it close. "When did you unlock it?" "It's been unlocked this whole week." Her eyes snapped over to Luke and he smiled at her. "Thinking about leaving?" Her eyes looked back at the door and then the weapons on the table. "You don't have to kill us if you want to leave." He stated calmly leaning against it. "We'll give you a choice," Jasper started. "You can leave now, with nothing. Your family is dead, you have no home or money. Or, you can stay here and be the little psychopath you are." "You're going to kill me." He shook his head toying with the gun he picked up. "Walk through that door, we'll let you be." "You won't hurt me?" "We won't even touch you." She swallowed looking at the door and them. "Why are you letting me leave after all these months?" "I'd like to lie and say you're killing all our toys but," Luke grinned. "You're a psychopath now, a killer. Why lock you up?" "I can leave?" "You can." She took a small step in the direction of the door and stopped to see if they would do anything but they watched her casually, calmly. "Go." She didn't waste the time they gave her and hurried over to the door. Jasper followed her slowly with the gun in his hand and saw her stop right outside the door hesitantly. "Kegan." She gasped softly and looked up seeing the gun. "You said you wouldn't hurt me." He pressed the gun in her hand. "I know you don't like making a mess." She swallowed and looked up at Jasper sadly but she was relieved and anxious. "I love you." His lip twitched up. "If you loved me you wouldn't be leaving."
