The other yacht looked deserted from as close as I dared to pass it. The sails were folded, the door to the cabin closed, as far as I could see. There was a small window in the side of the cabin from which the occupants would probably be watching us. I glanced at Veyada’s screen, which showed little activity. He switched to infrared and it showed a couple of lighter spots inside the yacht. He nodded at the screen. “There are three or four people inside.” We passed the yacht at a distance of fifty metres or so, and went over to the reef at the headland, where Nicha threw out the anchor and we put together our fishing gear.
