Healer and Wolf Spirit

Confused feelings

After arriving at the black rose pack, Giselle was taken in the room where she met with the old alpha who was on his death bed. His eyes were dull showing that he longer could see the world while mumbling incoherent words.

She had seen a case like this and knew that the person hold some secrets that he did not want anyone to know. That time, her teacher, made everyone leave the room and now it was her turn. She thought about it and it was best if the family does not know the dark past.

She glanced at the others and Katherine took the hint.

She sat on the chair next to the bed as she looked at the old man not knowing what to do. He was dying and there was nothing she could do to save him but she can lessen his pain.

The man opened his eyes and looked in front of him with his dull eyes.

"I have done many...wrong ... things."

He started speaking without realizing if anyone was sitting near him or not.

"I ...d.o... not.. deser.ve....for..give..ness..."

Giselle turned her head and looked where the man was looking. There was no one but only ghosts of his past.

"It's not you who can decide if you have to be forgiven or not." She spoke gently while the man coughed and turned his head towards her as he smiled.

"You are a healer....

She was a healer too...

I....I..."

He paused as he tried to catch his breath.

"I failed...her.

I chose my mate....over her ...but...I never stayed happy...."

Giselle stared at him who had a smile on his face as he was lost in his thoughts.

"She was kind and....very... pretty.

So... pretty...but...I...did not fight for her.

I was...a...coward..."

There were painful expressions on his face as his whole life was playing like a movie in front of him.

"You should have stayed happy with your mate. If she was in love with you than it was her fault. A healer is not supposed to be in love with anyone." Giselle spoke softly but only she knew what kind of fight she was having with herself.

Why the moon goddess had to be so cruel with them as not to give them a mate. Why they have to live a lonely life only to see others being in love and having a family?

The old man was not listening to her but was in his own world.

"But now we can be together...My Katherine...' He coughed while Giselle looked at him with unknown expressions as he smiled and slowly closed his eyes.

She stayed at her place not knowing what to do. The man's body was lifeless and looked in peace but now Giselle's world was in chaos.

"My father gave me the name Katherine. He always loved me a lot and now... seeing him in this condition...I can only feel bad as I can not do anything."

The words echoed in her mind as she closed her eyes. The man left her in a new delimma. She did not know how much time passed when Katherine entered the room. She looked at her father and placed her hand over the shoulder of the healer that was stunned at her place.

"He looks peaceful." She smiled as her eyes turned red and it was taking her a lot of effort to not cry. She knew what was going to happen when she brought the healer here and was already prepared for the worse but still her heart was aching.

"Yeah, he is." Giselle inhaled deeply and stood up. She just wanted to leave as soon as possible. Katherine did not stop her neither she asked the secret which her father was holding for years. There was no need to know the secret now.

Giselle walked out of the room not knowing what to do or say. She was not able to process what was going around her.

John saw her leaving the room and walked towards her but she did not notice his presence.

"Giselle." He gently called her name who looked at him with empty eyes.

"Are you alright?" He gently held her hand who looked exhausted.

"Hmm." Giselle hummed softly as she scanned his face. She was happy that she left him and he will be happy with his mate. At least, he could be happy but now she was not sure if anything.

Mate bond was like a magnet pull but what was between them was not a magnet pull. It was more than just a pull.

"Let's go." John gave her a smile as he lead her to the car. He opened the door and made her sit inside.

"You can take some rest now." He gently patted her head who nodded and closed her eyes as she tried to forget everything that happened earlier.

The car was on the road back to the pack and when they reached to the pack it was already midnight.

John looked at the healer who was sleeping in the backseat and a smile appeared on his lips as he got out of the car and gently woke her up.

Giselle opened her eyes and looked at him in a daze unable to under where she actually was.

"You can sleep in your room." John spoke making her blink. Finally she got out of the car and walked towards the pack house with slow steps while John saw her leaving with a weird expression on his face.

He did not know why but he smelled a strange flowery scent on Giselle's body. It was calming and yet creating chaos inside him.

He sniffed the air again and still could feel the scent wondering why she had a strange scent but was sure of that the scent belonged to Giselle's.

Since he was with her, he completely forgot about Bella. Now that he remembered her, he suddenly realized the distance which was present between them.

"Master, this is a platinum card." An old man placed an envelope in front of Hyun who was sitting arrogantly on the chair of the chairman of the biggest companies of the country.

Hyun wanted money and he gave him the best thing that he has. The card had no limit and thus the great wolf spirit will never has a problem with money.

"Hm.."

"Master, do you want me to tell you how to use it."

He asked in a respectable manner while Hyin scoffed.

"Are you talking me as a peasant?" He lifted his hand as if wanted to hit the old man who flinched but Hyun did not hit him as he picked the envelope.

"I will visit you again so be good or...." He warned him.

"Yes master." He bowed while Hyun left the big office. That man was one of his minions and was the incharge of luck and money. He made a lot of money since the wolf spirit was gone but now that their master was back he could feel that their life was going to be a hell of ride.

After Hyun left, a lady in red appeared in the room and sat on the chair.

"Virgin Bride..." He looked at her.

"What are you doing here?"

"I was busy in some work given by the Wolf spirit. I think you should also know about it."

"About what?" He sat in his chair as the ladu walked towards him elegantly.

"The night Jasmine has born."

"Does master know?"

"He knows. He knows who she is but he is not telling us." She rubbed her chin.

"No matter what but we are still demons. Could not he let us have her? It will heal our souls and we can become more stronger..." The old amn looked excited and suddenly he changed into a young and handsome man.

"And then we can marry." She softly chuckled.

"But we can not go against master."

"Hmm...." The man nodded.

"Let's wait. He promised us to let us marry. Did not he? He will fulfill his promise."

Outside the building, Hyun looked at the thing I'm his hand.

"I asked for money and he gave me this piece of junk." He scoffed and wanted to throw it away but them stopped as he thought of something and a meaningful smile appeared on his face.

Giselle was looking at the two people who were all lovey dovey at some distance from her not knowing that she was looking at them.

Now she was confused again and there was no one with whom she can share her problem as John and Bella was a big no. The other option was her teacher but she knew her teacher only had one answer. No, a big no.

She sighed and walked aimlessly around when suddenly she felt someone near her.

"Oi, sad cow. Where are you going?"

She turned and found the same annoying person leaning against the tree while looking at her.

"You need to be careful because I just saw a demon roaming around." He warned her making her scoff.

"I am a very good fighter and I don't need...." She forgot to speak as she saw the thing running towards them.

It was half human and half beast, a demon she only saw in movies.

"Hyun...." She ran towards him and held his arm.

"What is that thing?"

"Oh, just a small demon. But you can fight with it right? Go on...."

He mocked her and watched her becoming pale.

"I ..I....how can I fight with it...I am just an Omega...I haven't gotten my wolf form yet..." She cried as the ground was shaking due to the demon running towards them.

"Please do something...."

Hyun yawned and looked at her.

"Be my servant...."

"What...are you out of your minddd .."

She moved away as the demon attacked her and she tried hard to save herself.

The demon turned and lifted the big log of tree as wanted to smash her with her.

Giselle saw her death in front of her eyes.

"Fine .. whatever you say..." She shouted whiel Hyun who was interestingly watching them, cracked his neck and the next second he attacked the demon.

The demon tried to save himself from the sudden attacks and then he fell on the ground being injured.

"Now leave." Hyun ordered him as he got what he needed.

"Yes master." He suddenly ran as he wanted to save his life while Hyun smiled as he turned and walked towards Giselle.

"Chicken and beer..."

"What?"

"Buy me chicken and beer .." He smiled brightly while Giselle wondered over his mental condition.

How can he think of eating something in such condition?

Hyun was staring at the credit card in his hand not able to understand what was the use of it and neither he wanted to ask for help for anyone.

He looked at minions who were obediently doing their work, mostly his work, and his eyes stopped at the half human half beast.

A grin appeared on his face as his eyes shone with excitement.
