Night jasmine

While collecting the precious herbs, Giselle glanced at John who was sitting at some distance from her. Even though Zayn was against the idea of John giving company to Giselle, he somehow ended with her as his father did not want Giselle to encounter any danger or because he was sure that John had a mate so there was nothing to worry about.

"How much time do you need?"

John asked her who was pulling some grass from the ground while trying to act busy.

"You can leave." She replied without looking at him while John got up and walked towards her. He stopped near her while Giselle looked at his shoes.

"We were friends too." John softly whispered but Giselle clearly heard.

After doing what he did with her, he was expecting her to stay friends with him. Giselle sarcastically smiled and got up as she looked in his eyes.

"A n d?"

"Can't you act like what we were before?"

His looked frustrated making her chuckle.

"No I can not. There is nothing between us now."

"Please, Giselle." John tried to held her hand but she pushed her hand away from him.

"Don't touch me. You disgust me John. I think you should be worried about your mate whom you announced in front of everyone last night."

She angrily replied trying not to cry I'm front of him. It felt like he opened the wounds that he made on her soul.

"Are you jealous?" He chuckled making her close her eyes and control her emotions. She opened her eyes and glared at him.

"I am not jealous. I am angry over you. I wish I could have never loved you."

"I know you still love me and I love you too. It's just moon goddess had different plans but I ensure you I will always be with you and..."

Giselle was confused over what he was talking about. Does he think that she will be his a side chick? What he thinks she is?

She scoffed and walked away from him who quickly followed her and grabbed her hand.

"I love you. I really do. Please believe me. My heart still beats for you."

"That enough." Giselle stopped him as she did not know what to do next.

"G i s e l l e..." His voice sounded sad.

"You have a Luna now."

She replied and walked away from him who was standing silently at his place staring at her back. She was right. He had a Luna now but he could not control his emotions.

After half an hour later, Giselle reached the house where they use to keep herbs or grow different types of medicinal plants and placed the basket.

She was tired now so she moved and walked towards her room so she could take a bath.

Few hours later, the door of the house opened and Zayn entered the house while looking tired. He was thinking of leaving this place as he was sick of their cunning behaviours.

He walked around to collect the few flowers so he could make tea for himself when he paused and sniffed the air. The smell was sweet and calming but was not strong enough so he could know where it was coming from.

Confusingly he looked around as the smell did not belong to the room. He was fully aware of all the plants that grew in his plant house. Looking around, his eyes fell on the empty basket which was placed on a shelf while there was addition of fee herbs in the jar.

He walked towards it and picked it as he sniffed and was frozen at his place.

Was Hyun right?

The question raised in his brain and he disappeared in the air and appeared in the room where Giselle was sleeping peacefully while the whole room was filled with the scent of night blooming jasmine.

He could feel his legs becoming jello as he sat on the chair while staring at her.

"What you have done Giselle?"

He whispered to himself as he looked at the girl sleeping soundly.

"Master, we missed you a lot. We never forget about you and...ah..."

The man cried as he was hit with a shiny whip. The other end of the whip was in the hands of the great wolf spirit who was looking at the nearly destroyed throne that once belonged to him while in front of him were few men that were crying for forgiveness. On his left side was sitting a lady in red and was clearly enjoying the show

"I can see how much you missed me." Hyun scoffed as he raised the whip towards the other man who was half human and half beast but before his whip could touch him he felt something and turned to find the great god of healing.

"I want to talk to you." The voice was cold and calm indicating for everyone to leave the court room this instant while the men who were bowing and begging his master to let them go were quite happy and left immediately while the lady in red also got up and bowed before she left the room.

Hyun smiled and walked towards his throne and sat as he looked at his brother.

"What do you want brother?"

"Did you curse her?"

"How can I? You know I can not curse anyone unlike you who cursed me to stay in that tiny house for three hundred years.

Do you have any idea how much I missed? Fried chicken and cold drinks and now people suck each other faces in front of everyone. Most shameless people I ever saw in my life of fifteen hundred years."

In the end he was grossed by the scenes that he had to witness with his beautiful eyes.

"But anyhow, I must say I am very excited to see this world."

He smiled in the end knowing that he successfully gaslighted his brother.

Zayn rubbed his forehead as he glanced at his brother. He had no other choice that time. Would he let him erase the whole world?

"Let the evils eat her. Is not this her fate? You should be happy there is a walking sacrifice now instead of letting someone be the ultimate sacrifice."

Hyun added again as he picked a bottle of wine. Even though he loved to drink but it was not as delicious as the blood of the girl whose scent resembled to night blooming jasmine.

"She is not a sacrifice." Zayn knitted his brows making Hyun chuckle.

"You are paying a lot of attention to her. Why? Do you like her? Is she your bride?"

Zayn did not say anything and turned to leave as it was no use to talk to him right now.

"You know if someone kissed her than she will be bound to that person for her entire life.

I suggest you kiss her before H E finds about her. Because if he did, he will take her and I don't want you crying for your lost love."

Hyun spoke again with a hint of mockery in his voice while Zayn glared at him before disappearing in the air leaving Hyun alone. He chuckled as his eyes showed coldness.

He stared in front of him as the lady in red appeared in front of him. She waited for the order from her lord while a sickening smile appeared in the face of Hyun.

"I want you to spread the news about the birth of Night jasmine."

"Night jasmine?" She questioned him but slowly her expressions changed. She suddenly looked confused and excited at the same time.

"My Lord?"

"Yes, there is someone with that precious blood." He chuckled as he remembered about Giselle. If he found her in some other situation he would help her but now he had to take revenge on his brother and she was going to be the one suffering in this.

"Then can I have her?" The lady asked while Hyun smirked.

"What's the fun in it?

Spread the news now."

He motioned her to leave who bowed and left while Hyun gently creased the bottle in his hand and then lifted his hand. A beautiful glass appeared in his hands and he poured some wine into it.

"It will be fun watching him trying hard to protect her."

He sipped the golden fluid as he remembered something.

"There is a wolf outside and she needed your help."

Giselle lifted her head as she looked at the person who just informed her about the arrival of someone. Usually her teacher take care of people that came from other packs for help but now he was nowhere to be found and Giselle was the incharge for taking care of those matters.

"Is she injured?" She asked as she got up. If she came here on her own then it means she was nit that injured and healers do not heal some common injuries or illness.

"I don't know." The man shrugged his shoulders and walked out of the office so she could follow him. Giselle came out and looked at the petite looking woman who looked worried and there were two men standing beside her.

One of them was the delta of the pack while it seemed like the other came with the woman.

"Are you the healer?" She quickly walked towards her and asked her while Giselle nodded. The woman held her hand and tears rolled down her cheeks.

"Please help me." She cried as she squeezed her hands.

"My father needs spiritual healing. Please help us. He is dying."

"Hmmm, I..." Giselle did not know what to say. She was still learning and was not as good as her teacher.

"My teacher will be back soon. I suggest you to wait for him as...."

"No." The woman cut her instantly.

"I needed your help now. Please come with me..."

Giselle sighed as she did nit want her to cry anymore so she gave her a nod. She was going to do her best there if she had to.

Soon she was going to an unknown land while praying that the man would not cause an accident.

She was not alone as sending a healer would be too risky for the alpha so John volunteer himself to go with her. She was not happy about this and wished she could have brought the Delta with him instead of John.

"My name is Katherine and I am the Luna of Black rose pack." The woman finally spoke whiel Giselle nodded.

"This is the beta of our pack." She told her again while Giselle glanced at the man who was driving.

"I ensure you that you will go to your pack safely." She told her again.

"I can smell other people's lies." Giselle smiled softly and at the same time her eyes met with John. Yes, she can tell if someone was lying and he never lied to her.

"What happened to your father?"

The Luna pressed her lips together as she thought about it.

"I don't know but something is eating him from inside. I know this since I was little but he always kept it a secret.

Now he is sick and he will speak about unknown things. I just wish he could rest in peace now."

"Do you think it's something evil?" Giselle did not know what to say. There were evil spirits and could it be that he was actually a victim of them or it was just a ghost from past.

"He wanted to meet a healer and I could not find anyone near us. You were our last hope and I am grateful to you that you came with us."

She tried to smile while Giselle took her hand in her's and gently squeezed these ensuring her that she will help her at all costs.
