I had finally shaken Leah off and found myself hiding away in my office. My Beta Logan was already sitting in here busy scrolling through some papers. He looked up at me as I dropped into my seat and breathed out a low growl in frustration. I could hear the stifled laughter Logan was trying to hold in, he knew me better than anyone and each time he has seen me this morning I've had that annoying woman hanging from me like a bad smell.

"I see you have managed to lose your shadow" he mused.

"Hmm" I hummed in response, seeing the smirk on his face.

"It seems she's taken a liking to our Alpha, your not thinking of changing your bride already are you?" he asked in a more serious tone.

"No" I snapped, "The sooner that woman leaves here the better, I don't like her at all, there is something about her that turns the air sour"

"Woah, that's harsh, why did you invite her here then?"

"I invited her for Harley. What I am asking of Harley is a lot. I understand that, so I thought having a friend here with her would ease the stress, but so far that impetuous woman has done nothing for Harley, instead she irritates me with pointless questions and dribble about her life" Logan laughed as he stood from his seat.

"Well you best keep her in line, you don't want to be pissing off your new bride before you get that ring on her finger. Letting her think you are getting too close to her friend is dangerous territory.Real or not!"

"I'm not getting close to anyone, this is a business deal, you know that" I corrected him.

Logan raised his brows at my comment, "Please, I saw the look you gave her the other day, you like her."

"Correction, I think shes a good looking woman, I wouldn't kick her out of bed, but, I don't like her, I don't know her well enough to like her." I wasn't sure if I even believed that. Logan smiled and c****d his head mumbling to himself as he turned and left the room. He was training some of the younger men this afternoon so I knew he would be gone for a while giving me the peace I had yearned for all day.

I opened the drawer beside me and took out the small red velvet box that contained my mother's ring. This was the ring I was giving Harley tomorrow. I knew the marriage was not real but it would raise too many questions if I was to not give her my mothers ring. There was a part of me that was looking forward to getting to know her, everytime I pictured her face, her body and the way she raises that one eyebrow when she looks at me. god did it make my d**k twitch. Her scent was something I had never inhaled in my whole life, I will give her the credit that is due to her, she has been the first female in a very long time to get my d**k twitching the way it does.

I was going to be sharing a bed with her. I knew that was going to be hard for me because it felt so good when I touched her, knowing any form of self control was always hard for me. I was an Alpha after all it was in my nature to bang any woman I wanted. I could tell she was feisty, I doubted she was going to let me touch her at all. I suppose that made it a little more exciting for me.

I decided to open my laptop and get some work done since I was unable to get on with anything this morning. Time had soon passed me by and I had managed to get quite a few documents written up and signed but I was drawn to the sound of footsteps approaching my office. I could tell they belonged to Red, he knocked on the door and stepped inside, he wasn't one for waiting around. I noticed the room was alot darker as the sun began to set outside. I looked up at the clock and was shocked to see six hours had passed since Logan left the room. "Yes Red what can I do for you?" I asked as I closed the laptop pushing it away from me.

"I was wondering why you were couped up in here all afternoon alone when there is a beautiful woman in your bedroom waiting for you?" he asked as he stood in front of me.

Red was not one to be fooled. I had never been able to lie to him ever since I was a child. "I was thinking the same thing, If you don't mind I will head up to my bride to be now" I said as I stood from my seat ready to leave the room.

"Sit down, I think you forget who I am at times" Red ordered as he rolled his eyes. I sat back in my seat ready to hear the ear bashing that was coming my way. "You told everyone you found your mate and you were excited to get married" he was giving me the look with his arms folded angrily across his chest.

"I have and I am" I nodded, it was no use, I could tell by his eyes he knew.

" You know, the day your father brought your mother home, we didn't see them for days at a time. The house had to listen to them fornicating for hours at a time. He didn't want to leave his mates side, you have seen for yourself the love that is shared between mates. Why are you lying?" he asked in a stern tone.

I sighed out loud as I pinched the bridge of my nose, "Ok, fine" I breathed as I looked back up at Red. "It is the only way I can state my claim on the throne, she knows all about it. I haven't fooled her here under some false pretense, what do you take me for?" he raised his brow at me. "Nobody can know about this, I trust you to help us, you have been a loyal friend to my family"

"Ssshhh" he waved his hand and shushed me as he pulled out the chair opposite and took a seat himself. "I knew something was off the moment you arrived back here without her. who knows about this?"

"Just me, Logan, Harley and her father and now you. Everyone else thinks it's real"

Red rubbed his temples in frustration, "You really do amaze me at times, I often wonder if your father would be pleased with you or utterly amazed at your stupidity" He gave me a serious look. "Right follow me" Red got up and walked out the room. I swiftly followed him wondering what on earth he was doing, I followed him to my room where he knocked just once before pushing open the door. Harleys freshly washed scent hit me almost immediately sending electric waves inside my pants. If that wasn't enough I stepped inside the room to see her freshly bathed laid on the bed in a short night dress, her damp hair up in a bun on the top of her head as she played on her phone looking effortlessly breathtaking.

Red closed the door behind me as I stood staring at the beauty before me. "Both of you sit on the couch now, it's time to learn how to be mates before everything goes to s**t tomorrow" he demanded.
