Flutters

I wasn't even aware that I had slept off, but I woke up to the deep masculine scent I had slept off to. A small smile lifted my lips as I moved, looking up towards Gray. I expected to see him watching me as he mostly always did, waking up before me and either going snout his day or just watching me, but he was surprisingly fast asleep. I had been using his arm as a pillow, and his hair was sprawled all over it, his other hand resting on my waist. I pulled back a little so I could watch him. He seemed rather peaceful, his breaths even, his body warm. I smiled to myself, then leaned even closer, my face burying in his chest again. He was the closest thing to a home right now, and I could now see my actions clearer. I have never been in a physical brawl all my life, but I, without hesitation, got into one earlier. I realized I hadn't been fighting her because of what she had already done, but because of what she wanted to do. I slowly brought my hand to gently rest on his cheek, my fingers moving slowly away from each other and then covering the distance again as I ran my hands over his face. He gave a small sigh and moved, his hands falling to cup the small of my back instead of waist, and he pulled me closer into him. I gave a small chuckle as he leaned and buried his face in the crook of my neck, his breaths caressing my neck, his lashes teasing my already ticklish skin. I settled in for him, however, adjusting my head a little so he would be comfortable as I laced my fingers through his hair and massaged his scalp. I heard him give a small moan, and I moved my hand, but he shook his head. "Don't stop." I gave a small smile, then pushed my fingers through his hair again, massaging his scalp. He sighed, and his breaths evened out again, his hand tight around me. It was astonishing how he was still very careful even in his sleep and somehow avoiding touching the injured part of my stomach. I moved my other hand, resting it beneath the mop of his hair that fell down his nape, then ran my fingers on his skin as the other hand massaged his hair. "Angeline," he said, his voice dark, husky and low, his body pressing up on mine. "Do I stop?" "No," he said with a sigh. "Don't stop." I nodded, then ran my fingers on his nape again, caressing down to the top of his back, and then coming back up to his nape, all the while massaging his scalp. He gave a small sigh, and I turned to him, trying to see if I was doing anything wrong. He was asleep again, and I went back to massaging his scalp, playing with his hair and caressing his nape. The sun had just started to set when Gray woke up, a small breath escaping him. He moved away, his eyes meeting mine, his chest slightly heaving. For a while, he just stared at me before his lips parted, his eyes slowly leaving mine. "You stayed awake all through?" I nodded. "You were sleeping so comfortably." "When have I not?" I shrugged. "Maybe you have, but I have never really been the reason." He gave a small smirk before he started to move away. "Where are you going?" He turned to me. "I was going to bring dinner." I shook my ead. "I don't want dinner. Lay here with me." He took me in for a while before he slowly nodded, then lay back, his eyes holding mine. "What do you want to do?" I shrugged. "I just want you here with me." He didn't answer but rested his hand in mine as if to make sure I felt that he was here. I smiled up at him, my heart fluttering.
