Difference

215 Words
Gray pulled away from me, then slowly walked away. The water had now stopped, but I was still dripping from it, my heart still pounding from the kisses. "Maybe you should know what you are getting into, sweetheart." I held my breath as he slowly pulled a cigarette and lit it up. He still had his back to me, his fingers occasionally raking through his hair as he pulled the drawer slowly. "Is it so different from what I have already seen?" He shrugged. "I am not sure what you have seen.." "The man who brings me ice cream and lets me sleep on his lap. The person who gave me a place even though he should resent me for not keeping my boyfriend in place." He didn't move, just stayed there, but I could see he was doing something with his hands, the smoke rising. I took a few steps, my chest heaving. "Is what you are about to show me different from that? I dount you would meed to lie to me about.." He suddenly turned, a gun pointing straight at me, his eyes wide. I stopped in place, my eyes wide, my chest heaving. "You know what's the difference between now and five years ago?" "Gray." "I didn't hesitate five years ago."
