“Can I see him?” I asked Sander, who came out of the morgue where my father's body lay.
He nodded and didn't say a word. He hugged me and kissed my forehead before turning away.
He didn't even glance at Pisces, as if he's no longer interested in his presence.
“I’ll wait here,” Pisces said to me, but I shook my head and held his hand.
“Go with me…”
I swallowed hard upon seeing my lifeless father. I paused when I was just a few steps away from him. But I gathered my courage and approached him. I stared at my father, and my trembling hand gently touched his cold face.
