Are You My Mate?

Chapter 7

* I had just left work and I was supposed to be meeting Maggie at her favorite bar. Nelson stayed late with a small group to close up, then he said he had a date with someone from another pack. I guess he didn't feel like helping me to drag Maggie home. We weren't surprised he bailed on us most of the time, especially, if some hot guy was involved. I never really invited him or anyone but Maggie did. (I think she had a little crush on him)

I wasn't really planning on drinking but I guess she was a little more stressed than usual because she arrived in a taxi. "You changed?" "Yep, I decided to leave work at work, and I don't want to have any reminders of it" "I changed at the office" she says she she twirls showing off her red mini she paired with a black halter top. I look down at my blush pink above knee length skirt and my cream colored blouse. "You're cute let's go," 

"It's not like we're here to pick up guys... or are we?" I smile as I shake my head. She wraps her arm around my waist and I wrap my arm around hers as we walk. We go directly to our favorite high table and she grabs the drink menu after she asks for three shots to get started. (I will ask her how she's feeling after we leave)

I wait until the waiter comes back with her shots until I order, because I won't be drinking and he already gave us waters. "I want a Mango Mai Tai to start off," she says after she takes a shot. "And I will have an extra creamy Pina Colada to start off," "Also extra virgin" she laughs causing me to roll my eyes as I blush. 

I'm not ashamed of being a virgin because my mate will be happy that I waited for him. "Sorry girlie," she says as she looks at someone from behind me. I blush even harder when I see Dean with his mouth open. "I'm sorry" she whispers again as I turn towards the window after looking at him.

"It's fine" I whisper. "There is nothing wrong with being a virgin," He says with a smirk. I smile as I look at him then I play with my menu. "I know, it's just that-" "She doesn't like for people to know about her intimate life" says Maggie cutting me off. He raises an eyebrow as he looks at her probably because she is applying lipstick as she watches the bartender prepare the drinks. I laugh and shake my head at her. 

"So..." he says as he looks at me. "So what?" I say shyly causing Maggie to laugh. "Why don't you go over there with my friends and see if you can out drink them," He says as he looks at her with a fake smile and I can't help but smile at how cute he looks annoyed. 

He feels me admiring him and his eyes light up and his fake smile turns in a real one. "I'm not leaving a virgin alone with you," She laughs. "Are you disobeying an order,?" he says sternly with a raised eyebrow. "I didn't know it was an order Sir," she says as she stands. 

"I just want to talk with you alone, I would never hurt you" he says as he grabs my hand and as he does I feel a spark and by the look on his face so does he. His eyes light up as he squeezes it and I'm too surprised to smile or react. I can't believe he seems so happy to be my mate.  

(Oh my Goddess, I'm mated to the future Alpha) The man I've liked and probably loved for most of my life. "Oh no," says Maggie as she looks at our hands. "Leave!" he says as he turns to her. Her eyes get big and she hurries off. 

"Deni, my beautiful, sweet, perfect mate," "Can I hug you,?" "Y... yes" I whisper still in shock. He helps me out of my chair and he tightly hugs me. "This is the best feeling in the world Deni baby" he says as he continues to squeeze me. I can only smile and hug him back, but I gasp when he kisses my cheek.

"We need to go on a date everyday so that we can get to know each other better" "Okay" (I'll go with him into a forest full of rogues) "Where do you want to go,?" "What do you like to do,?" he asks as he holds my chin. "I don't really go anywhere" 

"We could go to my house, I have a pool" "Well you know you been before" "But this time you can come to my room" He says as he looks into my eyes. "Okay" I sigh as he rubs my cheek. "You're so soft" he says as he looks at my lips. My heart jumps to think this could be my first kiss. He bites his lip then he bends down to lightly peck my lips. 

"I can't believe my luck Deni," I was just coming over to ask you to our pack meeting," "Really," "You want to go with me,?" I ask surprised. (Sure he always winked and smiled at me, but we haven't really talked a lot and I felt that our relationship was one sided.

"Let's go to the movies tomorrow," he says as he rubs his thumb over my lips. "Okay, Dean'' "I love the way you say my name" "Really,?" "Yes, I've always liked you this is a dream come true for me," "I've always liked you too Dean" I say a little too excited. He kisses me again but this time a little longer. 

"I can't wait to tell my mom," he says excitedly but I get a sinking feeling in my stomach. (I don't think she'll have the same reaction to us being mates) He pecks my lips. "She was getting worried, that I'd never find my mate, and I tell you how happy I am that it's you," he says as he helps me back into my seat.
