Chapter 10Jules took one look at Cal and Gale when they arrived at work Sunday evening and grinned as he told Marcus, “I think our boys cemented their relationship last night.”

Marcus high-fived him. “It’s about time.”
“Eight years and counting,” Jules added.
“Uh-huh.” Gale rolled his eyes as he went behind the bar to start preparing for the evening.
“Where’s your shadow?” Marcus asked.
“If you mean Audie, she’s running around looking at apartments. I told her if she waited, I’d go with her tomorrow.” Gale chuckled. “She told me that she was a big girl now and was quite capable of doing it on her own.”
