Dee’s P.O.V
I knew what Eli was like and how his mind worked, so there was never any doubt in my mind that he would go to a witch, but there was a huge doubt on whether he would find one that would help him or not. Most of the witches knew about Mercury and his promise to all that came after his family, so it made me curious as to who would want to risk their own lives in order to help Eli. Mercury quickly informed me of everything that had been said while I wasn’t in the office and after hearing how Selena spoke to Luna Cheyenne I frowned at her, but then I was told of how they were talking about her like she wasn’t here and not even taking her feelings into consideration, which annoyed me and caused me to turn that frown on Mercury and Cheyenne. They were all as bad as each other in my opinion, but they were a family and loved each other fiercely.
“Dee, whatever plan you have up your sleeve, call your sister and if she agrees to come here then tell her to come right away.” Mercury said and I quickly nodded.
“Yes, Alpha.” I replied, grabbing my phone from my pocket and calling my sister's number. I listened as the phone began to ring out and after a few seconds she finally answered.
“Dee, are you alright? Are you still at Mercury’s pack? I haven’t heard from you since just after you left, what the hell happened? Is everything okay?” Rebecca asked, bombarding me with questions. I didn’t mean to make her worry, but after the last time I called her I was travelling and she had told me she met her mate, so I wanted to also give them space and time to get to know each other better.
“Not really. How long do you think it would take you and your mate to get ready and come to Mercury’s territory?” I asked, getting straight to the point.
“I can be there in no time at all, you know that if you ever need me I’ll be there. Let me get packed up and we’ll be on our way. Look after yourself and we'll see you in a few days. I love you, Dee.” Rebecca replied and hung up the phone. I was so grateful that she didn’t ask any more questions as it would have wasted time we didn’t have. I needed her to get here as soon as possible and the longer we talked on the phone the longer it would have taken her to get here. I looked back up at Mercury and put my phone back in my pocket.
“She will be here in a few days.” I said, but Selena looked confused.
“How can she help though?” Selena asked, making me smile.
“My sister has the ability to make herself look like someone else, but it only lasts a few hours. She is a copier of sorts. If we are going to do this then you need to agree to it, Selena because it won’t be long before he starts to head back here and set his plans into motion.” I replied and everyone else looked at her.
“Well, what plan do you have in mind, Selena?” Mercury asked, as Axel wrapped his arms around her.I think what Dee wants to do is a good start, Rebecca can look like me for at least a few hours until I can get up there and fight him. If I win I’m going to rip him to pieces, so he won’t be able to be recognised ever again. I’m ready to do this, but does anyone know where he is this very second?” Selena replied, looking like she was ready to kill.
“Yeah, I do. He’s in Chattanooga, Tennessee. The witch's name is Beach and I have sent the parcel you wanted to send. She is a white witch and very powerful.” Faith replied and we all nodded, knowing she had used her magic.
“He went there to see this witch, called Beach as we now know, to get a potion from her, he should be heading back to her at the end of the week to get it, then head back to his pack to start his plan. I’m sure the witch will give me a call to let me know when he’s on his way back.” Mercury replied, nodding his head in thanks at Faith.
Two weeks later….
Mercury’s P.O.V
Everyone had been training hard for any possible scenario that was to come, but nothing happened. Eli didn’t show up, the witch, Beach never called to say that he had collected the potion and was on his way back, but the most worrying thing was that Dee’s sister Rebecca and her mate haven’t arrived either. Dee had tried calling her a few times and even tried mind-linking her, but she could never get through and that was worrying for everyone. Has something happened to them? Had Eli given up on his plan to take Selena? Was there a new plan that he was putting into motion, one that we had no way of preparing for? Had Eli already been to Beach’s house and killed her when he discovered the truth? What the hell was going on? I was happy that Selena was still here, safe and sound, but I also hated uncertainty and at the moment it was all there was.
Eli’s P.O.V
I have stayed in this hotel for two weeks now, even though the witch asked me to go back to her in a week, but I wanted to relax, have a few drinks and have some fun with a couple of she-wolves I found. Besides, she said that if I came back before the week was up the potion would fade, but she never said anything about being away for over a week. Surely that would make the potion stronger or something. Today was the day though, the day I had to go back because I missed my pack. Maybe that she-wolf Rebecca would like to have some more fun when I get back, after all I haven’t seen her since the last time we f****d. I gathered all my stuff and packed it all away, then left my room and gave the key back to the clerk on the front desk. I left the hotel and threw my bag into the back of my car before getting in and heading back to the witch’s house, hoping the potion was ready and I could just collect it.
Beach’s (the white witch) P.O.V
It had been a couple of weeks since the delusional wolf was here and I was meant to tell Alpha Don Mercury when he had collected the potion, but how could I when he hadn’t been back. I knew he was still in town because I could feel his presence, but I also heard the talk in town of an Alpha wolf claiming to be the new Alpha Don. I knew he had played around enough because he was now on his way over here. I could sense him approaching, his car pulling up in front of my house and the sound of his steps up the stairs, then I heard it, the knock on my door. The chimes I had hung were going crazy over this evil man, warning me to stay away from him, to keep myself and my sanctuary protected, but I needed to help put this brute in his place. I walked towards my door and opened it, putting on my best smile, even though this was completely fake.
“Your back, welcome back to my home, come inside and see what I have for you.” I said, trying my best not to laugh at what I was about to give him. He was expecting a potion, but all it is, is flavoured water, grapefruit juice, sugar, a little salt and a little lemon juice. This would make her hyped up on sugar, but when she took it she would pull a face because of the salt and bitterness of the lemon juice, making it seem like the potion was having some effect on her. The i***t wolf walked inside and I closed the door behind him, then led him to the living room where we had sat and talked before. I grabbed the little bottle of liquid off the table and put it in front of him, watching as he carefully examined it.
“Do not remove the cork stopper until you find her and once you do she has to drink the whole thing. After she has drunk it all she will completely forget all about who her father is and then it is up to you what you want to do after that.” I said and he nodded. I expected him to take the potion and leave, seeing as he had already paid me, but he didn’t. He reached into his bag and pulled out a few stacks of cash, causing me to be confused.
“Here's another ten thousand, it's for your troubles and because I made you wait a week over what we had agreed.” He said, shocking me. I nodded and took the money from him, grateful that I could put it towards paying my bills and restocking my herbs for my potions.
“Thank you for helping me with this and please feel free to visit my pack whenever you want. It's called the Dark Moon pack.” He said, shaking my hand. A jolt went through me when our hands connected and although his words seemed nice and even kind, I could feel his intentions and how evil he truly is. I pulled my hand back, trying to keep my face normal and quickly showed him to the door.
“That concludes our business, good luck and goodbye.” I said, waving him off as he walked down the steps and got back into his car. As soon as he drove off I ran straight back into the house, rushing to the sink and washing my hands, scrubbing with soap and water to wash the evil away. He was definitely not what he seemed and even though he came across as foolish for trying this, he was also dangerous, especially after what I had just seen when we shook hands. Once my hands were free from his evil I dried them off and quickly grabbed my phone, dialling the number I needed.
