Mercury’s P.O.V
I didn’t see where Henry was at first as I walked around, careful not to trip over anything. I noticed there were a few new items in this house though and it seemed that Henry was fixing this place up, just like I had told Axel. There was a new leather couch, a new coffee table and a huge flat screen TV that almost covered the whole damn wall. I slowly walked towards the dining room door that Henry had gone through, but there was no sign of him, so I continued to look for him and went into the kitchen. Henry was even fixing up this room as well, there was a new stove, microwave, coffee machine and table as well as a few other appliances, which made me shake my head.
“At least the bastard was doing something right, but I still want it all back with the ten percent interest as agreed.” I said out loud, hoping to get him to show himself.
“Mercury, I don’t have the money, man. I spent it all.” Henry said, from his hiding spot.
“Don’t give me that s**t, wait till we start breaking s**t and I bet I will find it then, won’t I?” I said and looked at Axel.
“I’m going to count to three, start breaking those containers and I bet it's in there. Draw him out and I’ll take care of it from here.” I said, but Axel gave me a confused look, not knowing what I was talking about. Even though he didn’t know what I meant he didn’t ask any questions and just nodded.
“One...two...three.” I said and as soon as I hit three Axel picked up a glass jar that looked like it was filled with flour and threw it on the ground, making it shatter. Sure enough there were wads of money hidden in the now broken jar, making Axel look up at me with a knowing smile.
“STOP BREAKING MY s**t OR I’LL BREAK YOUR f*****g s**t!!!!” Henry yelled, making me laugh at his stupidity, but this only set Axel off as he practically broke everything that was in the kitchen. He tossed the stove to the side only to find some bagged up white powder and as soon as I saw it I was pissed off. There were more drugs there than what was needed for recreational use and it was obvious that he was going to sell them, this was a drug house and he was the dealer.
“YOU USED MY MONEY TO BUY f*****g DRUGS!!! YOU PIECE OF s**t!!!” I shouted, pissed off. Axel started bagging up all the money he had found and placed it on the table, but then he stopped and stood right next to me.
“Mercury, be careful, he’s behind the dining room door.” Axel said, mind-linking me and I nodded.
“He must have doubled back around when we came in here, which means there is another way out of this room. The pantry, it has to be the pantry.” I replied, mind-linking him back. Axel was about to check it out when I stopped him and nodded to the door. I walked towards the door that was between the kitchen and dining room, then kicked it hard, making it slam open and hit Henry, who was kneeling behind it. The gun flew out of his hand and hit the floor, making it go off and fire a bullet into the wall. I looked at the gun to see it had a hair trigger and the safety was off, but then I looked at the wall to see a tiny smoking hole from where the bullet had hit.
“You used the money for drugs? I wouldn’t have cared if you used it for gambling and then lost it all, but drugs, Henry, for f***s sake, really?” I said, grabbing Henry by his shirt and jerking him up.
“I didn’t give you money for that and you know it. I never have and never will condone drugs, that's unforgettable and unforgiveable.” I said, grabbing him by the throat. I punched him a few times, sending blood flying out of his mouth and then snapped his neck. I let go of him and let his body hit the floor with a loud thump, then looked around at the old house.
“You know, he could have done some good if he’d fixed this place up, but instead he would rather live like this, well, lived.” I said, sighing and shaking my head as I looked back at Henry’s dead body. I didn’t feel guilty for killing him, I felt guilty for not finding him sooner. How many lives has he ruined by selling them drugs?
“Well, it doesn’t matter now, it's going down, all of it. I won’t stand for a drug house ever, not even on human territory, it just won’t happen, not while I’m alive.” I said, turning to Hawk. he nodded and smiled, knowing exactly what I wanted him to do. Axel grabbed the money, while I emptied the drugs all over and around Henry’s body, wanting it all to burn with him. Hawk turned on all the gas appliances and then we all left, but just as Hawk reached the door he took a book of matches, struck one and threw it into the heavily gas filled house. The house went up in flames, exploding as the gas ignited and setting everything on fire. We didn’t bother to stand and watch like last time and just got into the SUV, leaving the house, Henry and his drugs to burn. After a few minutes of driving we all heard the sirens and then we saw the fire trucks going in the direction of the house, but it didn’t matter because by the time they got there it would be too late. The house was so old it would take no time at all to burn down and the drugs would also be gone as well, leaving the only remains to be the dead and charred body of Henry. After a few minutes of driving we stopped and got something to eat and then carried on our way back home. When we pulled up at the pack house we parked and got out, all of us going straight to my office, where I split the money with everyone, including Axel and then everyone left, going to their homes or rooms. I went up to my room and when I opened the door I was glad to see that Cheyenne was still awake. I walked right over to her and wrapped my arms around her, resting my head on her shoulder.

I was still awake when Mercury came to our room, but when he got here I could see that there was something wrong and I knew just what to do when this happened. I took him by the hand and led him to the bathroom. I turned the water on in the shower and then turned to face him, stripping his clothes off him and then leading him into the shower. I gently and carefully washed his body and then dried him off, taking him back into the bedroom and laying him on the bed. I got in the bed next to him and just held him tightly, knowing he needed this. To everyone else he was a big hard man to be feared, but to me he was my husband, my mate and my love, who needed taking care of at times. I didn’t ask him any questions and just listened to him as he talked. I knew it was hard for him sometimes and I had to admit that when he leaves for a job it scares and worries me. I get scared for him, but I stay strong for him when he needs it.

It was a rough night for all of us and it made me wonder if all of Mercury’s collections went like this or if this was just a particularly hard one. When we got back Mercury split the money between us and I was surprised that he gave me a share too as I didn’t really do that much and I wasn’t really part of his team, but he told me that everyone got an equal share, no matter how much they did. After talking for a little while all I wanted to do was see Selena and when I opened her bedroom door she jumped on me, flying into my arms and holding me tightly.
“Come on, I can smell the smoke and blood on you.” Selena said, making me now notice the blood on my shirt. Selena took me by the hand and led me to the bathroom, strippign my clothes off and making me get in the shower. I pulled her in with me and we washed each other, then got out and dried off, going back into the bedroom and laying on the bed. Selena got in bed with me and held me tightly, wrapping her arms around me and kissing my forehead. She didn’t ask me anything about what happened, but this time I talked to her about it. I didn’t tell her everything, but I did what Mercury suggested for me to do and just spent time with my mate, talking. Selena and I talked for hours, not just about tonight and what had happened, but about everything. We talked that much and for so long that we had to stop due to tiredness and eventually fell asleep in each other’s arms.
