KATE HAD ALREADY VERIFIED the yacht and signed the papers. Now, bored, out of her mind, she waited on the deck with a soft drink and admired the marina. She wondered when the men would come.
She didn’t enjoy the solitude, and that was something new. The woman used to like being alone now and then. In her line of work, silence appeared as a blessing sometimes.
The woman knew that the men had to make sure no one waited for them, but she had already been waiting for three hours, and she had had enough.
She had already verified her emails and answered a few of them. She had signed in her f******k account and entertained herself with a few amusing videos, but nothing worked. She was tense and worried about Ryan, and the time crawled. It was unbearable.
