Edward's POV
'Interesting! I like your version more since the version my mother told me was completely different, and on the other hand she was praising the girl just like you are doing'
'What the hell!' I took offence immediately and glared back at him
'I never praised her.She was being stupid in front of those wolves who could have torn her apart if the pack hadn't arrived'
'But from what Mother told me, She saved her life and yours too. She knew what she was doing and she did put her life to save two others. Yes, she didn't know you both were wolves and she went ahead with her gut feeling' Xander crossed his arms over his chest and challenged me with that.
I didn't know why he wanted me here if he already knew everything.
'So where is she now?' Noah asked Xander as I was still too furious on his reasoning.
She saved me? The Wolf would have been torn apart if he dared to attack me at all. He wouldn't have seen it coming.
'They are bringing her here today. Maria has already cleaned off Edward's old room for her, and is busy putting everything the girl might need' Xander said giving me a side eye
'I heard she was pretty knocked out when they found her' Matt said looking at me and I nodded
'She was completely out of it. It's really a miracle that she is still breathing though I don't know-' I couldn't complete my sentence even if I wanted to. I had seen her body. There were more cuts, bruises and fractures than I could count. Her jaw was broken, along with ribs and back for some reason. We didn't see when the wolf lunged at her, we didn't know it could leave so many critical injuries.
'Where is he kept again' , I got on my feet quickly, wanting to see the SOB who was there along with other Rogue Wolves and who has caused harm to her.
'You know you aren't allowed to interrogate anyone since the stunt you pull last time' Xander barked my way and I growled back
'At least I wasn't kicked out of the basement'
He stood up and chuckled shaking his head
'At least I did almost killed the man'
'He f*****g deserved it, like this Fucker'
'Not when we are hosting an event. It would get us in trouble. We have to take care of it, in a more quiet way. And you, especially you Edward, aren't allowed to interoogate anyone in the basement' Xander slammed his fist on the table and looked at me
'We will see', I didn't wait for him to say another word. He was Alpha of the pack, but for me he was just my boss. The pack might have to listen to him, but I was under no bond, to obey him and he knew that.
I strode towards the basement from where I could already hear the sounds of some of the wolves interrogating and asking the captured questions.
The basement was located behind the mansion. It was built hundreds of years back since the pack has arrived here and started living their lives. The autumn leaves had almost covered the entrance which was a wooden door with stareways heading down. No one other than the pack members was allowed on this side of the mansion. No girls from the pack and obviously not Maria. She wouldn't let us do any torturing if she found out what we do in the basement.
I looked around and quickly opened the door, and started to step down on the stairways. The basement was always kept in a good condition, since we would use it often, but just for us. For anyone captured it was like a torture zone.
'Did he tell anything?' I looked at Mason who was standing in front of the Rogue. He looked shocked as he shook his head and took a step back
'I didn't know you would come down here', I couldn't complete his thought as I let out a growl and glared at him
'I wouldn't have if he hasn't went after someone I care for' I slammed both of hands to the side of the chair the rogue was tied to. It was not a normal rope, it was a rope laced with wolfs Bane, and that was just the first step of the torture.
'Who were you with in the woods and where did he go?' I said calmy bringing my face near his and looking into his eyes. I could see the youthful gaze in them with a hope for the protest, and fight, to get liberation.
'I am not saying anything', He said back in a calm tone, smirking and looking away.
I smiled back and then placed my ring finger on his neck. It has a ring on it with a small knife, laced with wolfbane as well. I slowly moved it on his sweaty neck, up and down, before starting to dig it in the skin a little. I smiled again seeing his discomfort now and the struggle he had to hold back any cries.
'This is not a simple wolfsbane. It's going to make your whole body on fire soon. Starting from your neck, slowly going down to your back, then suddenly your front, your hands and your legs. It would make your thirsty and hungry, as the seconds pass, and it would make you scream like never before'
I leaned back and looked him into his eyes
'So when you are screaming and trying not to tear apart your body, because of all the burning, call for me to give you the anecdote'
I glanced around at the rest of the pack boys and smiled at them.
'Give me a call when he is ready to speak'
