ROMAN'S POV “Roman? Are you alright? Do you need anything-” “Not now, Keyvah.” I interjected before she could start on her little tangent of trying to appeal to my good side. Clearly, I wasn’t in the mood for any sort of conversation, and while I could have been kinder to Keyvah, I knew that if I didn’t cut her off abruptly, she’d keep pressing. Still, I sensed her hurt feelings and suddenly, I felt a tinge of guilt. I paused, took a deep breath, and stared at her. “Thank you.” I tried to say it with as much softness as I could muster even though I was feeling quite the contrary. She seemed to notice my attempt and it seemed, for the time being at least, that it was enough for her. Keyvah nodded at me, and walked away. “Let me know if you change your mind,” She said before walking off
