"What did I miss?" A woman wearing ripped jeans and black boots appeared from the entrance. She also had a duffle bag in her hand. The woman saw the duffle bag on the floor so she instinctively placed hers beside it.
"Long time no see, V." The woman first greeted Veronica.
Veronica c****d her head in reply but continued to chew her food.
"H." The woman added. Hunter stood up from her chair and handed her hand for a handshake but the woman pulled her into a hug. "Don't f*****g disappear on me like that again. I thought you were f*****g dead!" The woman was carrying a rolled newspaper too.
"You bought a ticket." Hunter said, taking the newspaper from her friend.
"It's not like I can't f*****g afford it. It was cheap." The woman retorted jokingly and got us laughing again.
