"What do you mean she's not a virgin?" My grandpa roars turning around facing me, his face red in anger.
My grandmas eyes widen as she stares at her husband in bewilderment. I look up at my grandpa with disbelief meanwhile Sophia has an amused look on her face as she watches the scene unfold in front of her.
"She's lying! I swear I'm still a virgin!" I cry out.
"If you're a virgin why do you dress that way?!" He yells causing my grandma to gasp.
"Richard!"
"I'm a virgin who dresses like a w***e!"
My grandpa scoffs and my grandma sighs shaking her head all while Sophia is laughing hysterically in her seat behind them loving what she was watching.
My grandpa sighs shaking his head.
"You better be a virgin Maria. We don't need no babies running around here until I'm at least eighty!" He states waving a finger in the air.
I nod my head my head shooting a glare over towards Sophia who has a smug look on her face. I shook my head.
Seriously? Cause all this all because I don't think your guy is cute? God you're so petty.
My grandpa shakes his head rubbing his hands together looking over towards Sophia who still had that smug look on her face.
"Wipe that smug look off your face missy, don't think I don't know about you and that paper boy."
Sophia's mouth drops open making it my turn to have the smug look as she stares at our grandpa in disbelief as he and my grandma leave the living room and back to wherever they were.
Once they were out of ear shot I couldn't hold back the laughter anymore and I let it lose.
"Damn, karma really is a bitch."

School went by fast the next day and next thing I know, it was already time for me to meet up with Mr. Everett for his help.
I was nervous because I wasn't exactly sure we were going to be tutoring today since we already went over three chapters in the unit and we were only five chapters in.
Were we going to be ending our tutoring sessions then?
I hope not, I know I've only had three sessions with him but I liked being tutored by him. He really made sure I understood what I was learning and he smelt good, like rain and mahogany wood.
"Good afternoon Maria, how was your day?" Mr. Everett asks me as soon as I walk into his classroom a smile on his face as he erases what was written on the white board.
"It was alright, I learned some very interesting things that will be pointless in the future." I exclaim making him laugh.
His laugh sends butterflies down my stomach and I fidget in my seat as I watch him erase what was left on the board before turning around clapping his hands.
"Alright, how are you liking the story so far?"
I shrug my shoulders playing with the ends of my hair biting my lip. "Pretty good, I think they're foolish for falling in love at first sight but I sort of like it at the same time."
"How come?" He asks tilting his head to the side.
"How come what?"
"How come you think that?"
"Um, well I think it's stupid to believe in love at first sight even though it's what everybody longs for no matter how foolish it may seem," I say shrugging my shoulders looking down at the desk. "but I also find comfort in it because it reminds me of my childhood when I believed in fairytales and believed in good people."
Mr. Everett nods his head. "I see, well what about Annabelle Lee?"
"I thought it was sad, he lost his loved one."
Mr. Everett nods his head rubbing his hand through his hair his muscles flexing, my eyes watching the simple action like a movie.
"Indeed it was, but it was strangely beautiful. Both pieces are about love and death, it's beautiful."
I nod my head not really sure how I was supposed to respond to his response.
I never really got the concept of beauty in death. I always saw sadness and grief, that wasn't pretty to me. Sunsets and rainbows were.
When I thought of death it reminded me of my mom and I didn't like thinking about my mom.
"I don't understand why their families are at war." I said steering the conversation away from death.
Mr. Everett shrugged his shoulders. "I'm not sure, Shakespeare doesn't really state it. One can only guess. Do you have any other books you like?"
"Like classic books or any?" I ask to which he shrugs his shoulders running a hand through his hair.
"Any,"
I bite my lip thinking. I loved reading, it was hard to choose just one book to like it was like asking a parent to choose their favorite child.
When I get asked questions like what books I like or what my favorite book is I can think of millions on the top my head and I can list them and go on and on but I'd make the person who asked feel uncomfortable.
"There's too many I can't name."
Mr. Everett laughs nodding his head. "I get that, I'm the same way but if I had to choose just one it would have to be The Great Gatsby."
I nod my head. "That's a good choice, honestly thinking about it I would have to say A Court of Mist and Fury is mine. I love the characters and the whole series is amazing."
Mr. Everett gives me an amused smile. "I've read those, they were great. I especially liked her Throne of Glass series."
I nod my head my heart skipping a beat. He has read almost every single book by my favorite author!!
"I love Sarah J. Maas she's my favorite author. I own all of her books."
Mr. Everett smiled wheeling away from his desk and over to where I sat. My chin rested in my hand as he now sits a good five feet away from me his smile still on his face as he folds his arms across his chest.
I watch as his hands run through his hair before going in front of him, his fingers playing with the rings on his fingers.
God I want to feel those fingers.
"What's your favorite part in the whole series?" He asks to which I blush looking down biting my lip.
"When Feyre and Rhysand finally get together."
Mr. Everett smirks standing up from his chair. "Typical. Do you want to know what my favorite part was?"
I nod my head watching as he walked to his leather jacket that was hanging on the hook by his office door putting it on hiding his tattoos from my view.
"When he realized that that she was his mate and the moment he knew he wanted her."
I look taken back as he smirks grabbing his bag from his desk turning the projector off with his remote.
"Well, I must get going home I have to let my dog out."
I nod my head clearing my throat licking my lips grabbing my bag from the floor slinging it over my shoulder following him out of the room.
I don't wait for him to finish locking up his classroom as I book it out of the school and towards my car, my panties soaking inside my jeans.
