Cindy pov

When i left Conner, i hurried to my house to shower, i just wanted his scent off of me, When i was done, i turned the water off, Got dressed in shorts and a short sleeve shirt, I slipped on my slippers, grabbed a couple of suitcases and packed as much as i could in two suitcases, i did shorts, jeans shirts undergarments, hair clips makeup socks and other items, my dresser was empty, i started on the other suitcase, i went into my walk in closet, put my jewelry, a couple of shoes, dresses, slacks and dress shirts, i didn't want to take all of it, so i left the other side of the closet alone, the bags weren't even heavy at all, i left my shampoo and conditioner, but i packed a few new bottles of it, i took a few body wash and packed them as well, I was finally done, i put the suitcases near the front door, i sat on the couch and poured a glass of wine, i needed this, I knew i could mindlink Helm, but he could not mindlink me back, So i decided to mindlink him, i wish i could hear his voice, but this will do for now, My eyes clouded over

“Hello my love, i wanted to say, i miss you so much, i can’t wait to see you once again.” i closed the link off just in time to hear a knock on the door, i got up to open the door, i already knew who it was, it was Conner, He was standing there with a sad look on his face, i knew he misses his mate as well, i moved out of the way almost tripping over the suitcases, he grabbed my arm before i could fall, we both started laughing,

‘Thanks, i needed that laugh, i just linked Helm and told him that i missed him, it sucks that he can’t link me back right now,”

I linked Mariah, letting her know i missed her to, But listen, I told dad, that you was listening so after the year is up i would mark you and you would be luna, he says you would deserve to be luna after all of this is done, He knows your coming with me in a few days, So he knows you don’t like it but you are putting up with it for right now, The thing is, you won't be coming back here with me, i need to think of something really good, to tell him,”

‘Easy, why not tell him that i couldn't stand it anymore that you're with Alyssa, i tried to snatch you away from her, but instead i made her fall she got up and we started fighting, we would have to make this look real, Conner, he has spies everywhere, just not my sister. he has rogues that watches, if you want to know how i know, ask my sister, she's told me all of this, so we need to make this look really real. we need to get Mariah and Alyssa in on this, once i am out of sight Helm can take me to his house, then a few days will go by and all of a sudden i am let free to roam around the pack land, i decide i rather stay there, he won't be able to do nothing about it, but you still have to play along, until i can get my sister over here safe and sound, i don't want anything to happen to her,” I could tell he was deep in thought about this, his eyes lit up i could tell he was excited about it, his fingers was tapping on the end of the couch, it was starting to get on my last nerve, how come i never saw this before, of course, he was my mate, i didn't pay attention of things like this, now i do,

“You know what? that is a great plan, I am going to need to give Mariah a call and tell her everything, that way she can tell Alyssa, So the mating dance is in two weeks right, so Jordan wants me to invite my dad, i forgot to tell him about this, i'll tell him tomorrow or the day we leave, that way he has time to think about things, he will have Rogues with him so we have to be careful, plus half the pack that will want him to go down, this is a perfect plan,”

Mariah pov

I was in my room with Alyssa we were talking about the mating dance thing, and guessing how many packs will be here so they can find mates, some just come to watch, others come to drink, or try and get laid, others come to find their mates,

"Alyssa, why don't you want to find your mate, you are missing out on so much. The sparks that go with it feels so amazing, the way he will hold you with so much love and care," she was about to answer whenever the phone Conner had given me started ringing. I hurried to get it so I could answer it.

"Hello, Hello, that was fast, did you make it back alright?"

"Yes I did, but listen, is Alyssa with you? If she is, put the phone on speaker, I want to tell you the plan Cindy and I had made." Alyssa looked at me shrugging. So I put it on speaker so she could hear better,

"Alright you're on speaker, so what's up? What's the plan?" He started telling me that Cindy wouldn't be coming back home once he leaves again, when I asked him why. He began to tell us everything that was going to happen,

"You see it has to Look real. A few hits, pulling of hair maybe. Some screaming and then Helm will come and jerk her away, Jordon will tell him to put her in the cells, but he will take her back home to his house, but keep her in the house for a few days, that's when i will come back here and explain to him what happened, he would probably say good keep her there, because he does not like her at all, he thinks she makes me weak and crap like that, but his rogues will be watching, it's the reason why we have to make it look real that's all, that way the rejection between us will take place, she will reject me, and i will accept it, Then you will be able to mark me, he will think Alyssa had marked me when it's really you, we will be one step ahead of him,” i honestly thought it was a crazy plan, but Alyssa jumped up and said,

“Alright let's do it, i will let dad know about this and mom so they won't9 freak out when the fight breaks out, it will be short and sweet,”

“alright, just remember we will be there in a couple of days, i can't wait to see you Mariah, i am missing you so much,” the phone hangs up, i looked at it for a few minutes then set it down on the dresser, this is just all freaking crazy to me, all due to his crazy a$$ father, he has to go down. he has his whole pack messed up, I set down on the bed thinking to myself. I knew my best friend was still here. I just needed a few minutes to myself. Is this all for real? So my mate wants his chosen mate to pick a fight with my best friend so she can pretend to be thrown in the dungeon but in reality she will be in her mates home for a few days, while my mate is heading back home to tell his dad that his chosen mate rejected him and I would be able to mark him. Shaking my head. This sounds so wrong.

"Mariah, this might sound wrong. But he's trying to figure things out. He's trying to keep one step ahead of his dad. He wants to be with you sweetie. Not her. She wants to be with her mate. I feel this is the only way, we are being watched when he is here, so we all need to be careful, I'm sorry you're confused and think this whole plan won't work. "Alyssa, this isn't right. All of this, her wanting to start a fight so she can stay here and he goes back. That's not fair to me at all. How come she can stay with her mate? And he can't stay here with me? I have to wait for his return every time while she's here gloating about her and her mate"

"I know it's not fair but you need to remember, he's the son of an alpha and he has to go back. But he will be back to you. He doesn't want to stay away for too long. I read his thoughts Mariah. Conner pov

When I got off the phone with Mariah, I went back inside. Cindy already had gotten a pillow and a blanket for me to lay on the couch. A sandwich was on the table and a glass of sweet tea. I ate and drank the tea. She walked back out with just a robe around her and sat down in one of her chairs,

"Conner. I hope this plan works. I really do but we also need to get Conny away from her. When your dad sends her to spy on us. She won't be coming back here. Just tell him somehow we broke the connection between us. Because I figured out she was spying on us and I had to kill her. I'll dye her hair or something, I'll make sure no one outside of that pack knows who she is. I'll buy a damn wig and make her wear it. I don't care. But she's not coming back here. This has got to stop. He had to stop using and hurting people. This is not what a true alpha is all about. I can't do this anymore. Pretending to be in love with you. A part of me still cares for you. Because we had been together for so long. But I'm not in love anymore with you. I want to be with my mate. And if doing this let's me. Then I'm going to do it.
