Chapter 2

Conner pov

I can't wait for my father to step down, that way I can announce to the whole pack I had picked Cindy to be my mate. She has been calmly waiting, she has told me time and time again I should go and find my true mate, but I have looked for her, I had found nothing, I have found one night stands where the women wanted to be my mate .and trust me I have had my fun with them, but there was still nothing there, When I met Cindy she was different. She didn't want to jump into bed with me right away, she wanted to get to know me, we hung out and went on dates. Then one night we went home she asked me inside and that's when it happened. I didn't mark her then, I wanted to so badly. But I held off. I wanted to mark her at the alpha ceremony. So everyone will know I had picked her. I've told my dad about this, he agreed only when I become alpha then I can mark her. I'm in no hurry, I can wait. I knew I had to go to a few meetings with my dad so I had to hurry up and get ready. I wasn't looking forward to this because it always ends up in fights. Because he didn't want to agree or the other didn't, these meetings are quite boring, until the fighting begins. I for one are getting tired of these treaties that never happen. I need to help my dad learn to agree on something. But I doubt that will ever happen. He is set in his own ways. I hurried to get dressed after my shower. I decided to just wear jeans and a pull over dark blue shirt. Got my shoes on and put my hair in a man bun. Cindy always liked it that way, then hurried down stairs. My dad was waiting by the car.

"Took you long enough; What were you doing jerking the monkey? Put your hair down, you look like a woman with your hair up like that for crying out loud. That woman is changing you the wrong way son. Get your ass in the car." he said that almost all in one breath. I took my hair down, doing it in a ponytail. Dad jerked it out pulling out some of my hair, what the fu"k.

"If you can not keep it down then cut the s**t and that is an order,"

"Fine i'll cut the s**t when we get home but Cindy…"

"I don't care what Cindy thinks, she is not Luna just yet and you're not the alpha until I step down and make you the alpha, driver you know where to go. Let's get to it." We didn't talk the rest of the way to the Dark forest pack. I realize why they named their pack like that. When we drove through the gates. There were tall trees very tall and all of them I could not name. But it made it where the long limbs of the trees that hid some of the sky would make it somewhat dark. There were gardens where the sun would shine down on. A playground, training ground where I saw people training, a guard station, and much more. The driver parked the car and we got out. The alpha of the pack was waiting on the steps for us to come up to meet them. I saw an annoyed look on my fathers face. I knew this was going to end up in a fight. But who knows it might not. We walked up and shook the alphas hand.

"Good evening, I'm Alpha Hyde. And this is my Luna Locy, please come on inside and we will talk about the treaty." oh joy here we go, we walk into a beautiful home. We're I dad so many things I could not even start to tell you there were china cabinets full of salt and pepper shakers so many different kinds of them. including bells. Swords and shields up on the walls criss crossing each other, a bear skin rug right by a fireplace. When we made it to his office. He had a beautiful white marble desk with lots of bookshelves on the walls. A flat screen on the wall. With a nice brown carpet on the floor, a leather couch on the right side and a few chairs that I could sit down on. I was so into looking around that my father had to clear his throat to get my attention. My head snapped toward him and I nodded. I guess he's going to let me talk this one through. We will see what will happen.

"Alpha Hyde. As you know we send you the treaty papers. Did you take a look at them at all? It's only then if we need help we will call upon help if anyone of us or you need money for our pack we will talk and agree on an amount of cash that will be handed to each other. If there are rogues on either pack land we will help each other. If another pack is trying to take over ours or yours. We will come and help and same for you,

We will not try to take over each other's pack if any of us do. The treaty will be broken and pack war will begin. Do you agree with this?" I could tell that Alpha Hyde was thinking really hard on this, as he read the documents that were in front of him. His mate was doing the same thing and I could tell they were talking to each other. When they were done they both looked up at me then at my dad. Then back at me once more.

"I have one condition with this young man. When you become alpha. We will renew this and add more to it. I like how you handle things and write them down on this document. Furthermore we plan on having a party. It's a mating party so our pack can hopefully find their mate, I want to offer an invitation to you to come to the party, we will announce our treaty and then enjoy the party." I really didn't want to tell this man I had picked a chosen mate for myself but I didn't want a fight either. So I stood up and shook his hand.

"It's a deal. I will have half the pack that does not have a mate here that night. Thank you again alpha Hyde."

"No problem and thank you for coming. We enjoyed your company. Please come back soon," we nodded and left. I noticed my father did not say a word all through the meeting. Once we drove off that's when he spoke to me.

" You did a wonderful job son. Too bad there wasn't a fight, we have one more meeting to go to, then home. The next meeting is at the Blue oval pack. Let's get going shall we?" But the next meeting didn't go as planned. Dad had to open up his big mouth, I swear this man is going to get himself killed one day. It was going good until dad ordered that they gave us twenty thousand for help with the horse ranch. I was thinking to myself. We don't even have a horse ranch. What are you talking about? Alpha Cole said no and a fight broke out, just another day in paradise. Right? We headed home when we got home. I didn't even say anything to him. I got out of the car to go look for my mate Cindy. I needed her right now.

Cindy pov.

I wasn't sure when Conner would get home. Someone came to me yesterday with a deal. And I might take them up on their offer. Conner hasn't done anything lately. But a part of me does love him. We have been together for three years now. I had looked for my mate. And I feel like he isn't even alive or not even in this country. Conner had looked for him. I knew he had been a playboy before he had met me. But that's all in the past. Well it better be. Because I plan on marrying this guy once he is alpha. We had dated for sometime before anything happened between us. I wasn't just going to jump in the sack with him to be another notch of his bedpost. And I had told him this. We hung out, got to know each other. We went on dates. He had shown me another part of himself and I fell in love. That's when I asked him inside, that's where it happened in my own bed. Not his. I wouldn't sleep with him in that nasty bed that he had many on, when it was all over he told me

"I was his chosen mate. That's why he had been taking his time with me," that's when I said.

"the only reason why you've been taking your time is because I wouldn't jump into bed with you like those other skanks" the look on his face said it all. It was all too much and I couldn't help but laugh. He was so handsome with his long dark hair that I lovedmit up in a man bun. He had a small beard with light green eyes that could make my legs melt. He was amazing in bed and he is a wonderful man. I was sitting on the couch when he walked into the door. One look on his face. I knew it was his dad. He can be a pain in the a$$ at times.

"Let me guess. The meetings didn't go as planned?" He didn't say anything, he opened my legs and got between them. He snatched my panties off and put his head right where the honey spot is. I didn't stop him. I loved it when he did this. Once he had made me cu"m a few times. he pulled down his pants bent me over the couch and fu"*ked me until I begged for him to stop. Once he had finished we both laid on the couch. He then began to tell me what had happened. When he told me about the second meeting and the way his dad lied about a horse ranch. Shaking my head. I sat up on the couch.

"Conner. I think your father just likes to fight, that's all. He doesn't know how to keep his mouth shut when everything is going good, that's just him. You have to understand how your father is." he looked into my brown eyes smiling.

"yeah I know, but it still doesn't mean I have to like it. He can be a real a$$hole when he doesn't know when to stop talking. We don't even have a horse ranch. I would like to have one. But I'll do that once I'm alpha. I'm going to change everything once dad steps down," I was thinking to myself. Good. Because it needs to be different around here. But I didn't say that out loud. Didn't need him to be upset with me, I could tell he was back in the mood. With his di"k getting hard on my thigh. I didn't want to go round two. But he pulled me down and jammed it right back inside of me. I always loved it when he did that. He knows how I liked it. He was gentle at first. But once I started moaning and calling out his name. He picked the pace up, once when we were done. We got into the shower and got cleaned. Dried off and got dressed.

"Once dad steps down and makes me alpha. I'm going to mark you in front of everyone. That way everyone knows you are Luna and my mate. If my goddess gift mate comes. I will just reject her. It will be a little too late. I'm already in love with you."

"I feel the same. If he ever comes. I'll reject him. I'm already in love with you as well." we talked through the night not even bothering to cut on the tv that's what we do sometimes. We talked thats how we got to know each other. Soon the sun was coming up and it was the start of a new day. We had to get up and dress for training.

Alpha Reid pov

I can not believe my son did not say one word to me when we got home. I live to fight. It's the reason why I started them. My partner left this morning while I was still sleeping. She likes to have fun as much as I do. She knew I would never mark her. She was fine with that. She said once she finds her mate. She will leave the pack to go to him. I was fine with that. She did her thing, I did mine. We meet in the middle and have our fun and then it's done until we can be together. I need to start making a plan soon. And if Conner does not do what I tell him to do. He might not like what I will do. He will do what I say. Or he will suffer. It all started when I went to Alpha Jordans pack. We were talking about a treaty, he was going to sign the paperwork but Violet stopped him. it was all because of her that I didn't get what I wanted.

Flash back

"Jordon you need to read this before you sign this, didn't you know that?"

"I read some of it, honey. It's no big deal."

It is a big deal if you sign your life or this pack away. She picked up the paperwork and began to read the five lines. When she looked up she had a look of anger in her eyes. She looked from me to her mate.

"There is no way in h3ll that he is going to sign this contract, Jordon, it says here, if at any time that he decides to take over our pack we must bow down to him and step down, if we do not step down then we will die by his hands." Are you fu:King serious. Are you losing your marbles on your head? Did losing your mate in the last war make you go crazy? I stood up from my chair. The last remark was not call for. I was going to rip her head off until Jordan stepped in my way.

"I am sorry Alpha Reid. She should have never said that last remark but she is right. I will not sign this contract. I will not bow down to you, nor will I give my pack to you. My father and I had worked hard to get where we are today. And it's staying that way. When their daughter came running into the office and jumping on her fathers lap. That's when I knew I was going to use their daughter to get what I wanted. Violet will pay for what she has done and said. And I will get what I want, and what i want is that pack house and that land,
