The Alpha and His Cursed Princess

Chapter 39

Lucas looked at the man who was interrogating him, the man was well built and he had always seen him looking very aloof in the group, and he looked like he was in his mid-fifties but something in the way he walked was very intimidating and his name was Henry. He eyed him more closely and realized that the man meant no harm but wasn’t sure if he could trust him so he asked.

“Have you read about our family in the newspaper?”

Henry smiled and said. “So it’s true, you are Prince Lucas Alexandra.”

“Yes,” Luca whispered and said. “Please don’t tell anyone about my identity as I don’t want anyone to treat me indifferently.”

“Don’t worry Prince Lucas, I won’t tell anyone and I know you don’t trust me right now but I might have something you might want to know. Let’s wait for the trek to be over then I will tell you.” He said with a friendly smile on his face and got up and walked towards his friends.

Lucas heaved a sigh of relief and wondered, the world is full of creatures like him, and now that they live amongst the humans it's getting very difficult to recognize each other as they were not sure whether it’s a friendly wolf or a bad wolf and they had to behave normally in order to survive in this world or they will be finished.

After the campfire died down everyone went to their tents to rest but Lucas was waiting for an opportunity to sneak out so after making sure that everyone was sleeping Lucas came out and started walking out of the camp and just as he entered the forest here was a wolf standing  right in front of him and when he looked around and he he was not alone there were many of them but when he saw their leader he recognized him immediately as he had seen him many times in the past but never confronted him like this. He was the beta of Alpha Dante of the black pack and he was also one  of them who rebelled against his father and had him killed and forced his pack to flee from Halland because his pack forced them to do so. He dodged forward to attack him . Lucas grabbed onto his neck with one aggressive pull ripped his head off his body. It seemed to be the signal for the rest of the pack who were against him to attack and within seconds wolves were attacking from all directions. There were growling and ripping sounds echoing throughout the entire forest. Anyone human who was nearby would surely fear for their lives because the sounds were very dangerous.

Damn it he growled loudly and his wolf had already sprung into actions as he took his full form and was bouncing on them dangerously.

“Lucas how many wolves are there around us? From the look of it each of these are different  packs, whom we have never met. And we are alone how will we handle them?” Eric roared  and attacked the wolf who  was trying to come closer to them.

“Don't worry, I can handle them but I need to call for some help because I don't know how many of them are still hiding behind those trees.” Lucas closed his eyes and tried to connect with his pack and sent out the message telling them that he was in danger but he kept on fighting with the wolves who were coming back and forth and attacking him.

Each wolf who came near him, he finished them off within seconds. Those wolves  were hardly  a match for him and they were being wiped out very easily he had been trained by very strict teachers in his pack for situations like this and he felt very proud that he could use it. But the problem was that many wolves were coming at him one after the next. Eventually, his energy level would decrease it would be difficult to fight that many all at once and not fall in the end.

Lucas was quite quick and defended himself vigorously and because of the continuous fight he was already growing tired but still they were trying to attack him but Lucas did not retreat back and he kept on steady and kept fighting with them.

He was wondering how long would he be able to keep this up.

As he continued to look around his surroundings and take a closer look at his opponent, something seemed extremely off about the entire ambush none of those wolves are capable of pulling off something like this or even putting a plan like this into motion and whoever was behind this had to be preparing for days and his common sense told him it was alpha, Dante. And he was right when he had made a hunch that he was being watched or how would they about where he was?

Not knowing for how long they were fighting the only thing he knew or rather heard was the sounds of bones breaking and he knew Eric was very furious his eyes were glazing and Lucas knew that he will not leave anyone alone. He studied his surroundings and knew more was coming.

All of a sudden it happened and new wolves joined the fight and covered Lucas. He was frozen for a second as he did not recognize them. Lucas knew that he could get all the answers he wanted after the fight was over so he kept on fighting with them and finally when they were exhausted and most of the wolves who  attacked him were killed, his beta arrived with more wolves and they washed off all the remaining , who dared to come closer.

After killing each and every wolf who were trying to attack him Lucas was very tired and drained out so he went and sat on the edge of the tree.
