ALICE'S POV

I had finally gotten in touch with Lily, and because of the very obvious Erics on my neck I had to take a few days including the part where my whole scent was covered heavily by Lucas’s pheromones, which screamed 'mine' to any alpha and meant I was taken, but I couldn't go to the office until it wore off, since multiple showers won't cut it

As the day went by, I made it back to my apartment hoping Lily wasn't too mad at me for going MIA on her, as I opened the door and let myself in, I could 0hear the fast footsteps from Lily’s room and in a second, I was hugged tight without abandon

"Lily, hey" I called hugging her back

"Don't ever. Do. That. again." She warned sternly as she let go," I'm sorry I am"

"I f*****g panicked honestly Alice, please don't do that, don't disappear on me," she called as she looked over my check and reassured herself that I was still in one piece

"Wow he did a number on you”, she whispered, “but you look in better shape than his mom" she added making me stop in confusion

"Huh? What do you mean by his mom?"

"Oh, yes, Mrs. Vera Romano stopped by and wanted to see you, she doesn't seem as nice as Lucas."

"Wait Lily where did you see her", I said panicked as I held onto Lily to focus

"She came to our house a few days ago but left in a hurry like she was sp..."

I had stopped listening when she spoke about Vera visiting our house, so the only thing in my head was panic that someone had found out about me and Lucas, there was no other cause that would bring her right to my home

I had them immediately fled to my room, turning off Lily’s calls to me as I reached my purse for my phone, but no answer, come on pick up I murmured calling Lucas for the second time as panic ensued as I could see that Vera had hated my guts from the very first time her and Monica met me

I just knew for a fact that I was downright screwed.

*****LUCAS'S POV****

It had been a couple of hours since Alice left for home, and honest to heaven I didn't want her to leave my side, as my wolf growled in anger that we were getting separated from our mate

My mate, I thought I unconsciously smiled, I could feel my wolf howl with such emotion of how much we wanted and loved our omega

That's right I was utterly and undoubtedly in love with Alice Scott, she was a walking phenomenon that I was lucky to have met, as I felt my wolf had claimed her as his since the first day we met in that bar, it was like torture not uttering it out as she was here but I didn't want her to think it was my rut and lust talking, I wanted it to be special and right

I had already dressed up and showered, thankfully spending my rut with Alice made it shorter and more bearable, I had already worn my suit when I heard the door card ding, signaling someone was entering my condo, my smile immediately dropping as I saw it was my mother, who did not look pleased, it never surprises me any more of what she thought or wanted from me,

"What do I owe the pleasure mother," I said coldly leaning up to the wall as I faced her

Either she tuned out my sarcastic welcome or she had a real problem since she ignored me and came forward, holding my wrist with so much desperation as she looked me in the eye

"That girl, Alice, I want her gone" she added

"What the hell?!" I called releasing my hand from her grip, as it felt like prickly hot thorns to my skin hearing her utter those words, "why would I ever f*****g do that," I asked

"She is bad luck, I know you have been sleeping with her, and I know you are an alpha, but does it occur to you to zip your pants once in a while and not jump any omega you see in your vicinity"

"You are not making any sense," I called stepping away from her, as her scent was spiking with anxiety each second, "she isn't just any omega mother, she is my omega and I love that woman"

"Foolish boy, you already imprinted on her didn't you", she called annoyed and shocked, "no, no, no," she screeched, "what about Monica what will become of that poor girl that has dedicated herself to loving you?"

"I never did any of that mother, you brainwashed her into thinking that I would mate her, and that is never going to happen,"

"Son, anyone but Alice, I will let you mate anyone" she called out desperately

"You do not control my life any choices since the day I left that house mother" I spoke firmly as my alpha pheromones protruded in the air causing her to halt,

"What exactly do you f*****g have against miss Scott that makes you despise her so much?" you barely have said a word to her," I asked confused by her outburst as my mother never loses her calm for anyone, but at that moment my phone rang, showing, Alice was calling but my mother had reached the phone first holding to herself,

"No, son don't answer, let us talk," she said desperately,

"It’s important mother" I called out slowly

"And I'm not? Just hear me out! Break up with this girl and fire her, or you wouldn't like it my way" she threatened, ah, now her true colors were showing as this was the side of my mother I'm used to, using threats and commands to fuel her greed

I had no patience for her again as I strutted forward, taking my phone away seeing that it had rung over three times, showing that Alice needs me urgently

"You can see yourself out," I sighed already tired of her games.

"Trust me, son, it will become messy, so –"

"-When you have something better with plausible proof to discuss this, then we can talk, goodbye mother," I spoke going into my home office, she had just come to spoil my day, but thankfully I heard the door shut before I retrieved my phone and immediately called Alice since I was finally left in peace,

"Hello, Alice"

"Lucas," she called with a bit of worry in her tone making me immediately on edge, about what was bothering my omega,

"What is it? What's wrong?" I answered immediately.

"I-No nothing, I just... missed you," she said after a pause, but I still felt there was something wrong, still I felt my heart quicken with joy as my alpha was quite pleased that our omega missed us

"I f*****g missed you too angel, but please tell me anything that makes you anxious, let me help alright?" I spoke assuring her,

"Yes, alpha" she answered back," I have to go, ill call you later", she added before ending the call, and even if she was trying so hard to hide it, I just sensed something was up. But you did not want to pressure her or pry too much, for sure if it was serious it would come to light itself,

***LILY'S POV***

I had taken up the courage to march up to Eric’s house since I had knowingly been avoiding him, even if it hurt my wolf to do so, I just had to have a clear mind which was not working out for me most but I didn't want him to think I was avoiding or resenting him for something since I was the problem here,

I marched up to his penthouse condo, ringing the bell softly as I heard a soft 'I'm coming before the door opened up to a dark house, since I couldn't see much of the interior,

"Hey," he called out breathlessly like he had been doing something before I arrived but I just wanted to get it over with,

"Eric I real-"

He had then closed the space between up giving me a short kiss that had my head jumbling and my word fumbled, "before you say anything, I f*****g missed you too, and please put this on" he called, that was when I noticed the black small cloth he had been holding, I looked at him, and his ever caring eyes hat always looked like I meant the world to him looking back at me earnestly for an answer, I had just instantly brushed off my confession to the side wordlessly mouthing out 'f**k it' before I leaped up and kissed him back on his awaiting lips before accepting the black cover to my eyes,

"I'm trusting you aren't a serial killer" I joked as his strong pair of hands led me in, as soon as I entered the space, I could tell it was his home, since its heavily filled with his scent that had me dizzy with desire, making it ten times harder not to jump his bones there and then.

Alright, he called halting to a spot and positioning me to face right, I still wondered what hell was going on, I could sense his nervousness from his scent but he was by far determined enough to continue the surprise,

"Alright, open your eyes" he called, and I didn't wait for a second to oblige, taking the cloth off, as I could not help a quiet gasp leave my mouth as I saw the decoration, the penthouse floor was filled with red roses and beautiful oink ones inn bouquets with candles everywhere, it was a spectacular sight behold and I still couldn't believe that this alpha had done it all for me,

"Oh my-, Eric" I spoke as he looked at me hoping I like it

"Happy birthday Lily", he spoke softly still fiddling with his thoughts, I had never seen a more endearing alpha, as he genuinely cared about how I felt about this

"I hope you li-" he started before I cut him if with a kiss, shutting him off as he indulged, in it,

"f**k I love you" he called before I felt him freeze, as I stopped to look him in the eyes, to see he was sincere,

"I'm sorry if I came out too early and rushed but f**k Lily, I love you and I've been there for a long time, this is not a word to pressure but just to tell you how I f*****g feel. Happy birthday again my love"

I couldn't help but sniffle my tears as I felt his genuine words from his voice to his scent, I wanted all of him, even if it was my first time, I was sure he was it for me, in an instant I had glided back up, tiptoeing back to his hot lips as I surged backward with him in toe until his feet hit the chair and he slowly brought us down holding my waist as I straddled him,

I could tell he sensed the sudden arousal in my scent and the intent behind by kiss I ground on his crotch, that instantly, hardened as it poked it, the foreign touch, ignited a moan that I never thought I could hear from my lips, but I remained unashamed as it was only Erics scent that filled my head

he had immediately grabbed my waist and pulled me back a little bit to search my eyes, this is a beautiful gift, but I have something else to unwrap I said

"Lily, I don't think you want-"

"Don't you want me alpha?" I whispered bending forward to trace down kisses on his neck as I felt him grab onto me with his alpha strength, "you have no idea how much I f*****g want you" he responded, as my omega felt glee uttering the only word my thoughts could muster
