His Unexpected Mate

Zander

I'm down at the training field watching my beta train some of the younger members.

Some promising young members would be moving up to the warrior's group. I try to get out here as much as possible.

I'm currently watching the two work with my Beta Nick they are sparing it looks as if they are getting the upper hand on Nick. I just sit with a smirk cause I know what's coming next they are young they are impulsive.

Just like that Nick has them both pinned down. I smile knowing that is why I have him as my next in command. My phone rings I pull it out and look at the caller ID it's Clara.

"Hey, Clara..."

"Hello, Alpha...I wanted to inform you the young lady has arrived today I'm helping her get settled in. She seems to be a very nice person you can see life's been hard on her lately but I believe she will be better in a little when she adjusts to being here. My friend that drove her here will be staying the night she is leaving first thing in the morning."

"Thanks, Clara... Remember not a word about the pack to her... I don't want her here at the pack house we don't need a human to find out about us.."

"Yes, Alpha I understand I will make sure of it."

With that, I end the call and turn my attention back to the training. Of course, Seth is pacing again in my head. "Man come on settle down stop whimpering what's wrong with you??"

"I want to meet the human aren't you curious about what she looks like I want to get to know her?"

"No!!!" I scream in my head." She is a human we don't need this headache..".

"She needs to be protected we can do that we can help her..would you stop being such a jerk.."

I just groan I block him out. Dam he's giving me a headache about this human...

Isabella

We get all our bags out of the truck. Clara has someone pull the truck around the barn for the night.

I'm so ready for a hot shower and a bed. Clara leads us around the side of the barn to a set of steps we go up she opens the door it opens to a kitchen area. It's not super big but it's very cute and simple.

Clara said she had the kitchen stocked she wasn't sure what I liked so she had a little of everything brought in.

I thanked her I was glad I wouldn't have to venture out to try to find the market around here.

The kitchen was very simple on one wall to the left was all counter along with top cabinets it went the whole length of the kitchen wall.

Then on the other wall was the sink with a small counter next to it. The walls were painted white with lite blue trim. it had one window above the sink it had blue and white curtains there was an all closet on the other side of the sink that looked big enough to keep the broom and mop with some cleaning supplies.

When u turn towards the sitting room It had a big open doorway. This room was a little bigger than the kitchen it had a couch with a recliner in it some end tables and a coffee table it had a small fireplace which was all stone.

It was a room you could just sit and relax in.

The bedroom was right off the sitting room it wasn't big but wasn't small either it had a king size bed in it with two dressers two nightstands a small closet there was a door on the other side which took you to the bathroom it was a normal bathroom it had a tube a small standing shower on one side with the toilet and sink on the other with some shelves above the toilet. it was a white room...

This is just what I needed nothing too big it was just the right size for me.

After Clara showed us around she said she needed to get back down to the barn. "If you guys need anything just come down to me we will get it ."

"I'll have the barn hands take care of the horses tonight you guys just rest up." With that, she turned and went out the door.

I decided I'd take my bags to the bedroom unpacking and see what all Mandy bought me.

Thank God she knows my size along with what I like. Mandy comes in.

"So who hitting the shower first?"

I tell her to go ahead I was gonna put my clothes away first I'll jump in after she done.

"Thanks" is all I heard as she walked into the bathroom closing the door. I start to unpack I pull my hoodie off seeing my bruised arm I walk over to the dresser and look in the mirror.

I grab my hair pulling it up to see the bruise on the back of my neck my mind shifts to Chris.

What is he doing? is he looking for me? I can only imagine how mad he was when he figured out I had left.

Will he find me here? What would he do if he find me? A chill runs down my spine thinking of what he would do to me.

I snap myself out of that thought. I finish tying my hair up in a bun I continue to unpack.

I wait for Mandy to get out of the shower.

Mandy

Once we got the horses in the stalls one guy started to take care of them Clara had us get our bags out of the truck another guy pulled my truck and trailer around the side of the barn she took us up to the apartment.

Isabella is looking around as Clara showed us the apartment she is still nervous looking she seems a bit uneasy hopefully with some time she will heal and get better.

I know she is safe here Clara will watch out for her she will take care of her I know Clara's secret.

I found out when we were in college she explained it all to me.

I promised to not tell a soul I never did that's why I called her for help I knew bringing Isabella here was the safest place for her...

Clara told me that her Alpha doesn't want Isabella to know anything about the pack.

I understand completely. Isabella isn't in the right mind to have that dropped on her that she living in a pack of werewolves that would probably push her to her breaking point.

The less stress she has right now the better. I know once I leave her in the morning contact with her won't happen for a while that way Chris cant track her here.

Dave said he was pissed when he was there he just walked off peeling out in his truck god only knows what he's up to...

Clara leaves us she needed to get back downstairs.

"So who's hitting the shower first ?"

I asked isabella ... She told me to go ahead she wanted to put her clothes away.

"Thanks" I yell as I'm closing the door. Finally a good shower .. in the morning I have to leave my best friend here.

I'm sad about that but also glad she's here...
