MEL I managed to stay hidden in my house since Liam found me in the woods. I wasn’t sure why he let me escape, but I didn’t stick around to ask. Piper ran, admittedly slower, back to the broken-down cabin, we shifted back, dressed in record time, and sprinted back home. I was thankful he didn’t come knocking at my door the next day and prayed he just forgot the whole thing happened. Dad was busy with some favor for the Alpha, and Papa had called to say he would be late thanks to a rescheduled deposition. I dragged myself down to the kitchen to put together a sandwich, figuring I had to eat something for the day. I still had one of my paint rompers on with an old t-shirt underneath it since I spent most of the day working in my art room. I didn’t think I had much chance of getting in,
